Osmond's Son Reportedly Texted About Suicide Note

As the pieces begin to come together in the investigation of the suicide death of Michael Blosil, the 18-year-old son of Marie Osmond, a new report claims that minutes before he jumped to his death, Blosil sent a text message to a female friend as his final goodbye. According to TMZ, Blosil had plans to hang out with the female companion on Friday night, but instead, he sent her a text message saying that he had left her a note in his apartment. The unnamed woman then found the note, but it was too late.

Blosil jumped from the eighth floor of his apartment building, killing himself after a long battle with depression.

TMZ reports that in the note, Blosil said, "the woman was his only good friend in L.A. and he was very unhappy." While the note reportedly doesn't mention suicide directly, police tell TMZ that they're absolutely considering it a suicide note.

Blosil was currently enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and according to his friends, was clean and sober in recent months. In 2007, Blosil went to rehab for undisclosed reasons.

In the wake of her son's death, Osmond released a brief statement, saying: "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."

PopEater's Rob Shuter reported on Sunday that a funeral for Blosil is set for this week in Utah, and that Osmond is currently being consoled by her good friend, 'Entertainment Tonight' host Mary Hart.

So Sad...who cares if he was adopted - MARIE Osmond was his MOTHER and loves him just as much as we do our biological children.

i was very sorry to hear about the loss of marie's son. what a tragedy....what a loss. i can very much sympathize with her, as i lost my ONLY son, at 23 yrs. of age, 19 yrs. ago, from an accident(trafic), and believe you me, it does not matter if this son was adopted or her natural son, he WAS her SON, just the same, and the pain in your heart hurts just the same, i have not doubt. So please people, do not be heartless and think that the loss is not just as great to her and her fam., as anyone else losing a child. if any of you have ever lost a child, then you will write nothing but condolences and have deep sympathy for her and her family. I send my deepest sympathy and heart felt condolences to marie and all her family. god bless you all, and may within time, you find peace and can go on with your lives. i am sure he would want that, very much. i know that you have your deep faith and and alot of loving brothers and family that will help to pull you through this. suicide is ok,but when you get even first then off-yourself...at least you get some redemption...and it's very eficient..the coppers and the law-makers-don't get a chance to persecute you..it seems like it frustrates them,they live for that moment of grinding you into the pavement and then sentencing you...too bad we can't get a chance to see more of them when they have to go after each other...

What a bunch of nasty under-lined angry people on this board, attacking others by slamming them if they happen to make a remark or use the wrong gender or word; a fauxpax, if you will, and is now misunderstood.
Wow....relax, people. Try giving others the benefit of doubt that maybe that's not what they meant when they used one word instead of another, but the content of the feeling and message was correct.

This is so tragic. My heart goes out to Marie Osmond, Brian Blosil and their families. This is pure devastation. My heartfelt sympathy also goes out to the families of Gina Gentile and Vanessa Dorwart of Pennsylania who decided to end their young lives on a train track. Too much tragedy amongst our young people.

My heart goes out to Marie I know her pain having lost two sons at age 25 and 42 I also had a adopted grandson who passed away at age 7 he was loved by us all he was my daughter-in-laws son.

That kind of thinking sickens me...adopting a child is a decision to have a child by choice, not chance, like so many others. My heart goes out to her and all her family.

I've never been much of an Osmond fan, but this is just heartbreaking-that and Walter Koenig's son within one week. As it is said, "No parent should have to bury their child." My heart goes out to both parents. Anti depresants are NOT worth it!! They DO cause suicidal thoughts (both victims were on them and had stopped taking them, so we read) and the patients should be extremely closely monitored-especially if the abruptly go off them without telling their doctors. If you know someone who is doing this, drag them kicking and screaming, if you have to, to their doctors and get them help NOW!! So sorry for these families.

I totally agree with you Di...She needs to focus on all of her kids, and not on herself. Hopefully she can get some help for her overweight girl.

What a sad, tragic, horrific thing to happen to any parent! My heart and prayers goes out to the entire Osmond family.

As a parent of 3, I can't for the life of me imagine the horror. (In my opinion) suicide has got to me the absolute worst and devastating way to lose your child.
