In a seriously brilliant fusion of two of Hollywood's most powerful starlets, it looks like Miss Piggy is going to get a little inspiration from none other than the always-interesting Lady Gaga in a new 'Muppets' film currently in the works. According to The Hollywood Life, Miss Piggy "ends up becoming like a Lady Gaga-esque character living in Europe" in the new Jason Segal-penned film. But what will her beau Kermit think about the outfit she famously wore in the photo above?
The writers of the film, tentatively titled 'The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made' (*Editor's Note: Stellar hyperbole!), are still figuring out the direction of each character, but one thing is for sure -- this will likely be different from other Muppet movies. 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' scribes Segal ('How I Met Your Mother,' 'I Love You, Man') and Nicholas Stoller will likely bring their fresh (and twisted) senses of humor to the kid-friendly feature, but still maintain the feel-good vibe we've all come to love.
"The film finds a human couple and their muppet friend racing to get the old gang -- all now retired entertainers -- together for one last hurrah in order to save their old TV studio from an oil giant who wants to destroy it," The Hollywood Life reports.
In that scenario, a heartbroken and "destitute" Kermit is found living in squalor, and his furry pals use all of their cheer to get him back on track.
"The producers plan to go out to a lot of big stars. It will be like a telethon theme, with stars joining in to save the studio too," THL's insider says of the film.
While there's no word if Miss Gaga herself will make a cameo, we're going to go ahead and assume she will, because that would make us very happy. And might we suggest that The Swedish Chef be based on Tom Cruise?

Oh, Gaga isn't that bad. I mean yes, without all that makeup and the head coverings she definitely has a face for radio, but her voice really is pretty good. My only real issue is her overall personna. I can see dressing up like a freak on stage. Hey, it works for KISS, Alice Cooper, Ozzie Osbourn, and Marlyn Manson, so why not her. BUT, she wears the same strange wraps everywhere she goes. It's like some mental disorder has turned her into this freak 24 hours a day. Could you all imagine what her pajamas might be????? I would be afraid to be in the same bed...
Lady Gaga's outfits are art. She is a great singer and believed in herself when no one else did. She deserves her fame and fourtune. She is unique -- even if you don't like her.....You still know who she is!!
Lady Gaga is a joke. My my my my poker face. She needs to pull it back and be real. Her voice is good, but the freak show is so stupid. Half naked showing everything distracting from her voice. I saw videos before she started acting so off the wall I liked her she was sweet, even lovable. Now she has nothing that I want to see.
Are you kidding? What an insult to Miss Piggy! Is this as creative as you can be? Oh I miss Jim Henson...wonder what he thinks? He is probably rolling over and not with laughter.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos

Am I the only one who finds Lady Gaga ridiculous?

I find Lady Gaga ridiculous also. What's with the masks and strange costumes? I know she isn't that pretty but why only hide half her face?
Gaga has a good voice..but the crazy get-ups and silly make-up distract from any actual talent she may have..O well!!!

Is that... is that a silver, glitter lobster stuck to her face??????
See, now that's trying TOO hard to stand out.
