After a turbulent year and public divorce from Jon Gosselin, the 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' star is set to prove she's a new woman. While we're not sure how she'll balance training for the show and raising her eight children, Gosselin has been on the road to revamping her image for months. With a new haircut and slimmer figure, Gosselin is headed toward a positive resurrection of her reality TV career sans her shady ex-husband. Jon, who?

Shannen Doherty
The actress, who played Brenda Walsh on the 90s teen drama 'Beverly Hills, 90210,' makes headlines more for her bad girl behavior than her TV and movie roles. Doherty is twice-married, twice-divorced, was arrested on drunk driving charges in 2001 and engaged in a well-publicized war with 'Charmed' co-star Alyssa Milano. Whew. Looks like things can only go up for her if she keeps it classy with the other stars on the dance floor.

Pamela Anderson
Although the 'Baywatch' star claims she is not bankrupt, Anderson was forced to move out of her Malibu mansion and into a mobile home. And despite making headlines for her love life or lack of clothing while walking the runway at Richie Rich's fashion week events, her step into prime time won't hurt her (or her bank account) when her fans tune in each week to see the blonde babe strut her stuff. "This will keep me out of trouble," she tells PEOPLE.

Chad Ochocinco
Revenge can be sweet, even for Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. "This is the first time I'll be able to dance without getting fined," he told ESPN. Ochocinco was fined $30,000 by the NFL for wearing a sombrero after scoring a touchdown. Who said revenge can't be classy?

Aiden Turner
The 32-year-old English actor is probably best known as soap heartthrob Aidan Devane on ABC's 'All My Children.' This competition will gain him a new flock of fans, ogling over the handsome star. He's set to be this season's charmer and we imagine he'll be headlining romantic comedies once he's cut.

Erin Andrews
The ESPN sideline reporter dealt with a "traumatic" invasion of privacy in 2009 when an alleged stalker, Michael David Barrett, took videos of the reporter through a peephole while she was undressed in a Nashville hotel room in 2008. While the case blew over, this a a chance to finally see Andrews strut her stuff away from sweaty sports players and foul balls. "I want to do it, because I think I'd be good at it," Andrews told the Sporting News.

Buzz Aldrin
What brings the famed 80-year-old astronaut to the dancing competition? We actually have no idea. The Air Force pilot and astronaut on Apollo 11 was the second person to ever set foot on the moon. While he has faced lots of criticism from Apollo moon landing hoax theorists, Aldrin is making the most of his life and becoming more than just a historical textbook figure. We're secretly hoping there's a moon walk. Dance on, Buzz.

Niecy Nash
Actress Niecy Nash is everywhere these days. From playing Deputy Raineesha Williams on 'Reno 911!' to guest starring on 'The Bernie Mac Show' and 'That's So Raven,' she's also now also a regular on 'The Insider.' What is there to lose? She's already getting more TV face-time than most of the other stars this season, so we hope to see her fun personality shine as she hits the dance floor. But we're guessing there will be a "How Niecy Nash Lost ___ Pounds" tabloid cover story coming to a newsstand near you soon.


Evan Lysacek
Having just won the gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics for men's figure skating, Evan Lysacek has nothing to lose by joining the cast. Visibility is key as the skater attempts to stay in the public eye (and on people's prime time viewing schedules). Audiences will be able to see if the skater's agility gives him an upper hand on the dance floor. Wonder if he can follow the same success as Shawn Johnson, 2008 Olympic women's balance beam gold medalist, who became the youngest competitor and winner of 'DWTS' during Season 8.

Nicole Scherzinger
The Pussycat Dolls' lead singer will be leaving a lot of the band's drama behind her when she starts 'DWTS.' (Two members of the band, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts, announced last week they were quitting, following rumors of a rift in the group over the elevation of Scherzinger to lead singer.) When the audience sees Nicole in the spotlight, all that bad drama will likely be lifted away -- and put more focus on her latest solo projects.


Jake Pavelka
The 32-year-old pilot just appeared on 'The Bachelor' and proposed to his new love, Vienna. What's next? Considering the number of failed 'Bachelor' relationships, we know he'll need something to fall back on ... and hey, it's a good way to extend those 15 minutes of fame. Will Jake two-step his way into America's heart? We'll have to wait and see.
