Shock! Howard Stern Skewers 'Lap Dog' Jay Leno

Celebrating Jay Leno's return last night as host of 'The Tonight Show,' Jaime Foxx was ecstatic. This morning, Howard Stern was a little less pleased: The shock jock spoke to CBS live from his Sirius XM Radio studio for close to five minutes, venting his distaste for "The Chin."

"Just the mere mention of Jay Leno's name makes me to want to vomit," Stern told 'The Early Show.' "I don't like this guy. I don't disguise it."

Stern said he felt that after Leno's 10 PM program bombed, the respectable move would have been for Jay to relocate to a new network and face Conan and Letterman's shows head-on.

"Jay Leno seems to be the kind of showbiz animal that won't let go," Stern said. "Jay is a lap dog."

This morning was a continuance in Stern's tradition of lampooning Leno. Last fall, he called Jay "a f****** con man, rip-off artist, no idea mother*******," after it appeared Leno lifted an idea from Stern's show.

Stern also acknowledged recent rumors he may replace Simon Cowell on 'American Idol,' saying it would be tough to say no to a high-paying gig in tough economic times.

Leno is boring and I cant stand watching his show more than it takes me to turn the channel.

Howard is rude and crude, but also honest. Opinions are said by everyone. Listen to everyone and everything and make your own. I bet a well informed person will aggree more often than not with Howard Stern.

Here's how business works in the real world: 1. You get a show, you get good ratings, you get to keep the show because it makes money. 2. You get a show, it doesn't do well in the ratings, you get canceled because it's not making enough money. Jay makes money for NBC at 11:35, Conan does not. NBC wises up, arranges for Jay to return to 11:35, and because Conan is all ego and not very talented, he cries his eyes out and goes away with lots of money he didn't earn because HE IS NOT THAT GOOD. This is business, nothing more, nothing less. That's how business works.

Absolutly agreeing with you!! Leno had the Hot show they told him to step down..why? because he wasn't making them money? No because they didn't want to lose Conant to go to another network....they wanted them both..tooo bad soo sad. (Business is as Business does)
Speaking of vomit Howard Stern.. I think in the dictionary the synonym for vomit IS Howard Stern!

gary if this stern person has so much talent why doesn't he make a movie or get on TV so we can all have a chance to appreciate it? Talent doesn't mean much in this business unless people know who you are. Exactly what are his talents? I would be interested in seeing them someday. Maybe Jay will have him on his show? That would be nice. Then I could get a good look at all his talent cause that's where I'll be. Watching the Tonight Show STARRING Jay Leno. He might not be as talented as this stern person but at least he has his own show and has had it for many many years. He must have some talent anyway to be the STAR of the TONIGHT Show for so long. Would you agree to that?

Howard tells it like it is... and he is right!

I listened to this segment of the show and yet again the media distorts his statement. He said that if someone offered him an incredible amount of money to sit back and do nothing for 4 months out of the year that he would be an idiot to say no. American Idol is basically a karaoke contest and you don't have to be overly qualified to judge a contest. The current judges get paid a lot of money to sit back and give an opinion. If someone offered me a lot of money to do that I wouldn't say no either. Stern is not at all worried about the "tough economic times" he's more interested in the idea that he would make a lot of money at American Idol.

Hey Robert, has your head been buried squarely up your ass for the last 30 years? That's the only way you would ask such a stupid question.

Howard Stern is an example of the taste of America today; SUCKS!
I have NOT heard his talk show, but a long time ago I saw him on his t.v. show & as broad minded as I am, he's 'garbage.' He has many mental health issues that should have been tagged previous to him opening his mouth publicly, or for that matter being hired to do so. Shame on the FCC for allowing this piece of crap airing time. No wonder today's youth is so warped.
