Dr. Drew's Alleged Stalker Caught by Cops

Dr. Drew Pinsky's alleged stalker, Charles Pearson, has been apprehended by police in Los Angeles after making threats against the 'Celebrity Rehab' star and his family. Pearson, a reported transient, allegedly threatened to kill the doctor and his family, claiming that Pinsky had implanted a chip on Pearson's genitals through which he was trying to communicate.

Pearson was reportedly arrested at California's Pierce College on Wednesday night and charged with felony stalking. He is currently being held on $150,000 bail. According to TMZ, Pearson had also been sending e-mails to radio hosts Kevin and Bean at KROQ, the station that broadcasts Dr. Drew's radio show 'Loveline.'

The threats to Dr. Drew and his family allegedly included plans to kill Pinsky's children and feed them to his wife. However, despite Pearson's threats, Pinsky had compassion for him, saying, "He's probably suffered terribly and we got a dose of it directed our way... I hope this guy gets treatment, because clearly he needs it."

Describing the incident to NBC LA, Pinsky said it was "very bizarre," before adding, "I feel like we're safe now."

The stalker sounds like an untreated schizophrenic to me...Hope he gets the med's he obviously needs...think Dr. Drew provides wonderful education and help to many with his various media shows and appearances...

Well, gotta face facts, he just helped save Gary Coleman this past week, when he had a siezure on a TV set. Dr. D was there, and jumped in and treated Coleman till the ambulance arrived. He is great at what he does. Has a REALLY GOOD sense of humor. And tries to help people. That makes a good guy in my book too!
