Sarah Palin, Mark Burnett Pitching TV Docudrama

Soon, millions of Americans may be able to see Alaska (and presumably Russia) from their TV screens.

That's because, according to an exclusive report from EW.com, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is teaming with Mark Burnett ('Survivor') to shop a new TV docudrama about the Last Frontier State.

Sources claim the show would have a 'Planet Earth'-style feel to it, and would feature Palin and her family on-camera. According to the report, Palin and Burnett have already met with ABC, CBS and Fox, and plan to sit down with NBC sometime today.

That Palin is interested in a show of this capacity should come as little surprise. Since stepping down from her governorship last summer, she's stayed relatively active on the small screen, including high-profile interviews on 'Oprah' and, more recently, 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.' In January, she booked an exclusive, multi-year deal with FOX News to offer political commentary on a variety of its shows. She made her official FOX News debut a few days later on the 'Bill O'Reilly Show.'

As for which newspapers Palin turned to today when news about her show broke, we'll assume she read all of them.

Oh Marky Mark - why has though forsaken us!? Unless this show takes the entire Palin family and sticks them on a deserted island and leaves them their until they all learn how to use condoms then I'm not watchin'.

Another un-classy report from the AOL writers. With a sarcastic intro and ending I'd call this article biased to the extreme, and unnecessarily vindictive. I've often wondered if news writers must join a "Secret Society" that promotes destructive reporting. Must mean that there is no such thing as an unopinionated person among those in the news industry. It's so very disappointing.....

It makes more sense to have someone like Ashley Judd hosting the show..or anyone aside from Palin..

Palin doesn't seem to care about the beauty of Alaska or the wildlife.. she cares about being in front of a camera and making easy money. End of story.

Anything for ratings..it's sad ..this woman is rich and pursued for absolutely no reason..no substance..no integrity..we tend to reward people for bad behavior..Why??

The only thing that I can do is refuse to watch...which is too bad, because I think Alaska is a great state. Why can't we go back to a show like the "Alaska Experiment" that was a reality show??
