Conan O'Brien to Hit the Road

Conan O'Brien is doing it live.

After weeks of speculation, the Wrap is reporting that the former 'Tonight Show' host will take his act out on the road in mid-April. The national tour is rumored to begin on the West Coast, with additional stops expected in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago and New York.

As far as what Team Coco loyalists can expect to see on stage, sources say that O'Brien is bringing both his sidekick, Andy Richter, and members of his band along for the ride. Whether or not that includes Max Weinberg remains to be seen.

Rumors of a live show first began after Conan was booted from the 'Tonight Show' in January in favor of its previous host, Jay Leno. The funnyman left the network with a multi-million dollar settlement that will reportedly keep him off the TV airwaves until September.

An official statement on today's story has yet to be released. In the meantime, we'll wait to hear from Conan's Twitter -- which is where he will officially announce his tour dates next week, according to a source for E! Online.

If Conan was a "greedy bastard" like you said, he wouldn't have given ANY of his staff money.

Plus he got money because NBC VIOLATED his contract by letting him go. They would have to give Leno, who has no children to provide for (Conan does) and who has said so himself he doesn't need to make anymore money, more money if HE was let go.

And I should point out. Conan drives a 92 Ford Taurus. Would a greedy bastard drive a Ford Taurus?

When you love what you do, it hasn't much to do with money. And from what I've heard, going on the road isn't the easiest way to do things. Sometimes people do things because they love to do it. He's good at his job and if he wants to go out and actually work, that's great.

Conan could buy 45 Ford Taurus with his 45 mil. Go on the road and stay there. Gooood by Conan.

Wow it's obvious someone didn't get my point. Conan doesn't care about the money, because part of that money is going to his staff. If he cared about the money, none of it would have gone to his staff. I was using the fact that he owns a Ford Taurus as an example because yes with the money he has he could go out and buy a really expensive car, but guess what, he didn't. What he does with his money (which yes, is more money most of us will not get to see all at once in our lifetime) shouldn't be anyone's business but his and his family.

Plus, don't you haters ever think that maybe he just wants to entertain?
