Sean Penn Wouldn't Mind if His Critics Died Painfully

The always-controversial Sean Penn draws criticism even when he's at his most charitable. Now, according to the Huffington Post, he has a few choice words for critics who have insinuated his volunteering in Haiti may be an effort to beef up his profile.

"I guess I've been so away from it all in our tent camp in Haiti that I haven't had an awful lot of time to pay attention to them," he told CBS News in an interview set to air on the upcoming 'Sunday Morning.' "Do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah. You know, but I'm not going to spend a lot of energy on it."

Penn has made two trips to Haiti since an earthquake devastated Port-au-Prince in January. TMZ reported last week that Penn was personally responsible for saving two individuals trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building.

The cancer comment is extreme, but it's no surprise from Penn. After winning the Best Actor Oscar last year for 'Milk,' the 49-year-old star opened his acceptance speech with a grin and the words, "You Commie, homo-loving sons of guns."

And now, we wait for the inevitable backlash.

I am sure Farrah's loved ones appreciated the sentiment. Perhaps he was too busy "sitting" in his tent awaiting recognition to put any thought in to what he was saying. Forever a moron. I hope his wife finally leaves the slimeball for good. She was, is, and always will be, too good for him and he knows it.

I really would believe he is. I would say maybe from rehearsal in Hollywood, for his role in Milk. He was so good at the mainstay, he recieved an oscar.

You are intitled to your opinion. But he's an actor so who gives a rip what he has to say. Let him do his acting and keep his mouth shut. He was after all married to Madumma. How bright was that? Just because act does not mean they are smart. I as many others have also noticed how evil mouthed libs are. Why couldn't he just say who cares what some may think about me I know why I'm here. Why should he keep his mouth shut? You and the other critics don't keep your mouths shut, so why should he? It's doubtful he'll rub elbows with you down at the relief effort in Haiti, so it's fine if he chooses to let you know just what he thinks of you when a reporter asks him. Try to bear up.

This IS the idiot who eschewed a life jacket for a flak jacket in a boat after Katrina, and was so busy looking for photo ops he forgot he had to leave room in the boat for a victim of the hurricane. All the space was taken up by the guide, him, ***his photographer, and their equipment**.

Penn is a narcissistic, cretinous, and foolish self-serving parasite no matter how good an actor he is.

Penn is a blithering idiot. The only thing he can do is act. My dog can act. He can sit up and beg when prompted. He can howl when I signal him. How clever do you have to be to be an actor? Other than being an actor, Penn doesn't have the intelligence to be a street sweeper.
