Tom Cruise Involved in Motorcycle Crash?

Tom Cruise was involved in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, narrowly avoiding injury according to HollywoodLife.com, who broke the news of the crash.

According to the report, Cruise was riding down a local street in Los Angeles when a car ran through a stop sign, causing the actor to slide on his bike into another car. Cruise was reportedly limping following the crash, but refused to be taken to the hospital. His publicist, however, tells E! Online that reports of an accident are "totally false."

Cruise's motorcycle was badly damaged in the collision, with Hollywood Life reporting that the "gears were completely torn to shreds on the left side."

Still, the Cruise camp denials continue. On the official Cruise Twitter page, the following message was posted: "Tom NOT in motorcycle accident 2day...Tom tells us he hasn't been on his bike in days due 2 the weather, but when it clears up, look out. ;)"

What is most sad is that these celeberties are held on such a high plateau and almost worshipped by the pathetic masses who somehow translate their acting performances into their real life personalities. It is called acting for a reason. It is a show. The worst thing that can happen if they suck is bad ticket sales. When is the last time you saw a throng of screaming people at an airport begging for an autograph when a valiant soldier returns home from serving his country? Now that does deserve a standing ovation.

Why would Cruise's publicist deny he had an accident? It sound simple and straightforward enough to me, so why not tell the facts--there's nothing to be ashamed of!

I hate these photographers. Do they really have to display 500 photos of cruise this way? Can't they just pick a few and be done with it?

He's been in accidents on his bike before.....No reason to think this story isnt' true.....but it's obvious his "camp" isn't going to admit it because....IF the driver of the car finds out it was TOM CRUISE on that bike then guess what happens. The driver then hires an attorney and CLAIMS that Tom Cruise caused the accident and then.....let the lawsuit begin! IF they deny he's been on the bike, get it fixed quickly then.....that's the end of it. If he had gone to the hospital then there would be a record. Thing is, IF the story IS TRUE and his "camp" is denying it, then MAYBE he did cause the accident. When one lies, they are usually covering up something. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Not only can he NOT act but apparently he can't ride a bike either!
