"At Serendipity 3 in NYC, I spotted Kim Kardashian hiding behind her menu. Is she hot in real life? Yes. And she ordered the frozen hot chocolate." -- Jen
"Rita Wilson cut in line in front of me (like I wasn't even there) at Christina's in Sun Valley, Idaho. I didn't say anything because, well, it was Rita Wilson. -- Karen
"I'll show you how clueless my dad is about movie stars. My father was traveling on business and was sitting in a hotel bar having a drink after work and started talking to this guy. They talked for a couple of hours, and the guy said he was making a movie down the street. My dad came home and said does anyone know an actor by the name of Tom Cruise! He was making 'Days of Thunder'!" -- Theresa
"Spent our anniversary dinner at Provence in New York City, but then had to deal with my wife paying me no attention while hunky Richard Gere sat across from us. I did get to stare at his beautiful wife Carey Lowell, so that was a nice consolation." -- Jason
"I met Joey McIntyre at a Chinese restaurant in New York City. He signed our playbills and CDs and took a few pictures. He smelled really good!" -- Rachel
"I used to wait tables at the Green Jacket in Augusta, Georgia. I waited on just about every major golfer there is and James Brown came in a lot and was the best customer ever and gave great tips." -- Sandra
"I worked at a restaurant on Martha's Vineyard over the summer and saw the island's two big celebs everyone tends to see -- Jim Belushi and Spike Lee. Belushi was eating with his big clan, being a regular dude. Next thing I knew, he was singing a song with the bar's blues band and having a harmonica battle with the lead singer. A week later, Spike came in to get take-out. He was pretty busy on his Blackberry, but I said, 'Hey,' and told him I was about to move to Brooklyn. He asked, 'What neighborhood?' He didn't exactly get chatty, but he was nice." -- Zach
"I used to work at TGIF in DFW airport, and I had Nick Lachey come in once. Some little girl stole the straw out of his drink after he left... Weird!" -- Lorena
"While enjoying my birthday dinner at BLT Fish, I looked over at the next table and almost died. Steven Spielberg and his family and friends were eating two feet from where we were. We spent the rest of the meal trying not to stare too obviously. Of course, he picked up the tab for his large party." -- Denise
"While eating at an upscale Mexican restaurant in L.A. last year with my husband and children, Tommy Lee and a group of his friends came in and sat just a few tables away. No one in the restaurant seemed to notice or think twice about it, but I was about to pee in my pants. I wanted so bad to go over and speak to him, but just couldn't do it because I would have looked like an idiot in front of everyone. All I could do was stare nonchalantly in his direction while trying to eat my meal. The waitstaff got them in and out of there very quickly, but the whole time I tried to get my 11-year-old son and 8-year-old step daughter to do my dirty work and go try to talk to him or ask for a picture. But they wouldn't do it either. As Tommy walked out of the restaurant, I got my son to snap a few photos with my cell phone, but it was just so dark in there. None of them turned out well. Had we been anywhere else, I would not have thought twice about approaching him, but that was just not the right time or place." -- Lori
"I was walking down the street in Lahaina, Maui, in December 1994 and saw this tall guy with a blond. He looked like Howard Stern. They were walking toward me and my wife. I was going to say to him, 'Has anyone told you, that you look like Howard Stern?' But as he and his wife passed us, I realized it was Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear." -- Bernie
"Our stylist was obsessed with Elizabeth Berkley, [so we're] out to dinner that night and who was sitting there: Elizabeth Berkley! When she walked by our table on her way to the bathroom, we called her Nomi (her character in 'Showgirls'), and she stopped to talk. We told her about our stylist obsession and asked her to call him and she did. They talked for about 5 minutes. Very nice person." -- Rebecca
"I was having dinner at a Mexican Cuisine Restaurant in Nashville, TN, when Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top came in to dine. My friends were acquaintances of his, therefore Billy visited our group for some time before taking a seat of his own. He was in town doing a collaboration album with Taylor Swift and had frequented this restaurant (from my understanding) most every day for lunch between sessions. He was introduced to me and learned of my fishing career and was excited to chat about fishing! Super cool cat!" -- Sondra
"Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson showed up at the Artcliff Diner in Vineyard Haven, MA, for breakfast while I was there with my husband. My husband kept saying that Mary was eyeing him. She seemed like she was hoping people would notice her, but Ted sat facing the wall, trying to hide." -- Mary

My sentiments exactly. If it wasn't for us supporting their music or movies, where would they be?
Why do these NO TALENT lazy ass parasites--who contribute nothing to society...continue to get publicity???? I'm surprised we don't get up dates on when she wipes her ass.

I sat down on a toilet stall next to Kim Kardasian. Does that make me a celebrity since I was at the Potty next to her?? Gads

Gee! there's alot of Kim Kardashian haters. You think there's
a little envy and jealousy? She's worked hard for what she has and I admire that. And her looks did help to get there. I think she is a very nice person.

I agree what does Kim K being with 5 black guys have to do with anything?

i saw santa at the mall when i wsa a kid. he was a real a-hole

Rita Wilson was rude and stuck-up? Seems odd that a girl with horse teeth and outdated hair would behave that way. Are you guys sure we're talking about the same one? LOL
Reply
Rita Wilson's in her 50s now - she stopped being a "girl" a long time ago.
did i mention santa was with 5 black elves

I met Todd Rundgren at a music festival once. He was arrogant and very rude. I don't understand why he was arrogant... I don't think there are very many people who even know who he is these days, plus his music in the 1970's was wimpy and boring.

I really wish people wouldn't let celebrities get away with rude behavior, like cutting in front of them in line, Stop kowtowing to them!. They're just people like everyone else. The only difference is that stars are a lot more narcissistic than most people. Just ignore them!

My wife is a nurse and was working in a family practice clinic when Ozzie Ozborne came in with a sore throat. She said to him, "You're the guy that bites the head off of chickens aren't you? He said, "Oh! I was high at the time and it was just a gimmic." She said, "You should work for Frank Purdue." He replied, "Who's he?"

When I was 14 or 15, back in the late 70's, my uncle took me to my first ever concert in a small place in NJ. I had no idea who the band was, but really enjoyed it. After the show, we hung around and the guys from the band came out and hung out with the crowd for a while. The lead singer, who I thought was absolutely gorgeous, came over to me and asked if I had enjoyed the show. He asked me where I was from and so on. He was really sweet and gave me a shirt with the bands logo on it. Turns out that band was Journey and that gorgeous lead singer was no other than Steve Perry!! I still have the shirt, from the Infinity Tour, and it is one of my most prized possessions more than 30 years later!!

I lived in LA for years, so celeb sightings were plentiful. The only time I was impressed was when Bruce Springsteen, his wife and most of the E Street Band pulled up a few tables near us on the patio at the Hotel Bel Air. I mean, it was The Boss!

Why are those people being shoved down our throats because of an outdated sextape. They are all over the place. Please give us people a break.

I've had a few cool and memorable "star-meetings".
TOM HANKS... My first one was back in 1984 on the movie set of Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks. One day we were all standing around on set between takes and set-ups. Tom Hanks literally ran over to ME (of all people), grabbed my hand, got down on one knee and YELLED at the top of his lungs in front of everyone, "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" He was so wacky on that set. He and Adrian Zmed were huge jokers on that set. Anyway, I felt my face turn red, I didn't know what to say and the crew started cracking up. It was pretty funny.
MICHAEL ANTHONY (Van Halen Bassist)... Then around '82, I was at a restaurant in Pasadena, CA having dinner with my Mom. Low and behold a few tables away there was Michael Anthony, his wife Sue and some other people with them. They were having a dinner and a fun time. I was nonchalantly glancing back and forth. After a few minutes I got up the courage and quietly went over to their table. I excused myself, whispered to his wife, Sue if I could, please have his autograph. She looked around and whispered back to me (goofing on me in a nice way) "Of course you can, dear." Sue tapped Michael on the shoulder and said to him, "Michael, you have a fan here, can she get your autograph?" Their whole table starting laughing. Michael turned around, faced me, genuinely devoted those few minutes to me, asked me my name, shook my hand, and chatted with me... it seemed like an eternity. He and his wife were so kind to me. They didn't act like I was intruding, bugging or anything. I walked away with his autograph on a napkin and a signed guitar pick and a HUGE smile on my face. I was so stoked. It was really a cool experience.
RODNEY DANGERFIELD... Meeting Rodney was FANTASTIC! I was at the cross walk of Wilshire & Beverly in Beverly Hills. All of the sudden, RIGHT beside me, there's RODNEY DANGERFIELD! I thought to myself **NO WAY! Rodeny Dangerfield?** I slowly turned to look at him, he was already looking at me, I smiled, he smiled back and he said to me in his typical jovial, Rodney way, "Hey toots! How ya doin' today?" I started giggling and said "Great! And you?" He said, "I'm doin' GREAT!" I said to him "I'm a HUGE fan of yours Mr. Dangerfield..." He said back to me, "Thanks KID and call me Rodney! What's YOUR name?" I told him my name and he said "That's a very pretty name..." I nervously said "Thank you." Then the light turned green and we went our separate ways. Too much fun.
I have a few more fond ones but I don't want to bore anyone to death. LOL!

I grew up in Beverly Hills around all kinds of movie stars and their kids, Debbie Reynolds was my girl scout leader, and Carrie Fisher was in my troupe.....no big deal, they are just people. They put their pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. I also briefly knew Rita Wilson BEFORE she was Rita Wilson, also no biggie. Never be embarrassed to ask for their signatures, or say hello, when they bought celebrity, they bought the package!

Big friggen whoopee! I gave up being starstruck when I was in the 7th grade. I've been around a few celebs in many walks of fame. The best thing we can do is show them some respect & quit acting like grade schoolers in their presence, my friends!

Never got to meet any of them. Only one I ever wanted to meet was Tom Hanks. He seems like he would be just a regular nice guy who happens to be a famous actor. Seems like he can play any type of role they throw at him. Real Talent.
Many of them seem like... not very happy people. Perfect example is Brittany Spears. I wouldn't trade my life for hers for anything and I am disabled and in pain all the time. Seems like she would have had a happier life not being rich and famous.
