Marie Osmond Gives Thanks to Her 'Greatest Gift' at Son's Funeral

Grieving mother Marie Osmond made unplanned and emotional remarks in front of hundreds of mourners at her son Michael Bryan's funeral on Monday.
Osmond stood as the service drew to a close for her adopted child and spoke to the mourners at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Provo, Utah. The assembled included Michael's biological mother,
according to People.com
"I'm proud of my son and I honor his birth mother, who's here today, who gave me the greatest gift," Osmond said. "Thank you for those beautiful 18 years."
Osmond also paid homage to her seven surviving children saying, "I'm so proud of each and every one of you."
She then joined her show business brothers in singing the closing hymn, "God Be with You Till We Meet Again."
Earlier in the service, Donny Osmond, Michael Bryan's uncle, choked up during the Invocation and had to take a long pause to gather himself before he said of his sister Marie: "Bless my sister. Bless my sister and her family. May she feel my love and my comfort."
After the funeral, a private internment was held at a local cemetery.

how did he pass? what happened?
Marie and family. You have shown all of us the depth of your faith through the years and shared it with us in many ways. KNOW, Marie, HE is with you now, HE is with all of you and HE is in the arms of the one who created your son. God bless your son and all who are suffering this loss.

What a lark, Is all about her. You watch she will milk every tear, every sob and sad look into a story about her. It's always her. Maybe she can parley his death into another shot at dancing with the has-bins and a win this time,

Jealous!?
Apparently you don't know the Osmonds or your just jealous but they are NOT that kind of family they don't need to milk anything they are respected and loved by millions unlike you, your mom probably had to pay kids to play with you and tie pork chops around your neck to get the dog to play with you... Sad God lets people like you live and the good die young...
What a real unconsiousable statement to make about someone who just lost and buried a son; I wonder if you feel the same way about the Son that gave his life for all your sins? You need someone to take you in a room and convince you to keep your mouth shut.
What a hateful person you are. Karma is brutal. Prepare yourself. May God have mercy on your soul.
What a pathetically sad and hateful person you are. You know nothing of what you are talking about. I hope you never lose someone close to you so others don't judge the way you will react to it.
I didn't know that you know Marie Osmond personally.
It's all about her you say? How do you judge her when you don't know her? You are so perfect yourself that you can judge her?
I hope you never find yourself in her position.
Sounds like you have some deep rooted problems. You need to go with Dorthy and the tin man to see the wizaed. Maybe he'll give you a heart too.
It makes me a lil' angry when anyone is referred to as the "adopted" child. May he rest in peace.

I'm adopted and I agree. I am not the "adopted" daughter of my parents. I am simply their daughter. But I believe people dont use that phrase with any malice, they just dont understand.
I agree with you, but in this case it is relevant. The writer states that Michael was adopted just before he writes of the birth mother. It is in context.
May Michael Bryan be at peace now, and may the healing begin for the Osmond/Blosil families.
