Supermodel Claudia Schiffer Flaunts Baby Bump

Former supermodel Claudia Schiffer showed off her fabulous curves recently while dropping her two children off at school in London.

The 39-year-old is due to give birth in May. Schiffer announced she was pregnant with husband Matthew Vaughan's child in January of this year. The baby will join siblings Clementine, 5, and Caspar, 7.

"We are thrilled about the good news and can hardly wait to have a bigger family," the couple, who wed in 2002, said in a statement (via PEOPLE.)

"Definitely in pregnancy the number one important factor is happiness, surround yourself with positiveness," she said.

Of course, her fashion and runway experience have influenced her current look, she admits.

"I'm not the sort of person who likes to wear tight clothes when I'm pregnant, but I'm not a fan of maternity dresses either, so my advice would be to get things a few sizes bigger and have them tailored to fit," she advises.

claudia is far from the first model/celebrity to be pregnant or give birth at age 39 so stop making such a big deal out of it academy award winning actress Patricia Neal for instance was at 39 and that was 1965 of course it was her 6th pregnancy 5th child granted she'd aborted her first pregnancy in 1950 due to the fact it was an out of wedlock pregnancy with an older co-star who already was married with a teenaged daughter of course by that point she'd also lost her oldest child Olivia to childhood illness and nearly lost her son Theo to a road accident never mind nearly dying herself while Pregnant with Lucy from a series of strokes thankfully her and baby Lucy both survived and the baby was born perfectly healthy congrats to Claudia and her family

More evidence of the dumbing down of our society. Terms like "bump" "baby mama" and "baby daddy" are so low class. I guess the gossip rags need to use these words so the average reader can follow along.

I don't find the phrase baby bump illiterate at all I think it's an affectionate way to follow a special time in a womans life while she's carrying a child and like I said she's not the first model/celebrity to be having her 3rd/4th/5th child at or around age 39 of course it's different when a male celeb does the same thing like Paul Newman had what would've been his 7th child at age 40 in 1965 of course it was his 6th 5th daughter Claire Olivia as his second wife Joanne Woodward's first pregnancy had ended in a miscarriage during their London Honeymoon in February 1958 or another example actress Jeanne Crain had her seventh child 4th son Christopher just 20 days short of her 40th Birthday May 5th 1965

@Courtney: Patricia O'Neal was never a supermodel, so she generates far less interest in her appearance. Let's face it, while most women are supposed to look 'glowing' or 'radiant' when pregnant, the reality is most of us just look tired. If I had Ms Schiffer's money, I expect I could look pretty darn good six months along also. That is, if I started out looking as good as her to begin with! XD "Baby bump" works for me, also. :

I'd much rather read about good news like her "baby bump" than Corey Haim's untimely death or worse, Jessica Simpson missing Romo's 'cute butt'. OMG - TMI!!! Go Claudia - looking fab!
