Teen Arrested Over Susan Boyle Home Invasion

Police have arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with the break-in at Susan Boyle's home in Scotland, BBC News is reporting. The singer got a scare when she arrived home on Jan. 26 to find the uninvited guest, who promptly made a run for it. It's unknown whether anything was stolen.

Boyle was returning from London, where she recorded the 'Helping Haiti' charity single. A police report at the time described her as "very distressed" by the incident.

Officers detained and questioned a 16-year-old boy, but he was later released. It hasn't been confirmed whether it is the same person.

Boyle's debut album 'I Dreamed a Dream' rocketed to the top of the charts in 2009, and was close behind Taylor Swift for the best-selling album of the year. Despite the enormous success she's enjoyed since her days on 'Britain's Got Talent,' Boyle still lives in her modest childhood home.

I want to know WTF the diffrence between a 'home invasion' and robbery is?? If there is none I suggest there be one established.
I can be an invited guest into your home and be guilty of a "home invasion" but if I am there and you're not, robbery would seem to be the very best word. I am growing damn tired of people trying to reinvent the English language.

If "they" are in your home, and "you" are not, then it can be a burglary, but not a robbery. Not much of a wordsmith afterall...

I hope this poor woman is left alone. She is a great talent, but NO ONE needs the fringe element that goes along with celebrity. I'm sure she'll have a lifestyle change if she continues in the business... probably including being forced to move into a secure location.

She has an awesome voice.She sang at Americas Got Talent last season.The song was "Wild Horses".It gave me chills. I hope she's left alone too.

I just got a chance to listen to Susans C. D. this afternoon and boy what a jewel. Susan has a pure, powerful voice and every song on the C.D. is fantastic. What a find for those people who love a beautiful powerful voice. I hope she does more in the near future.

Susan is one of a kind, humble, incredibly innocent and most of all an awesome singer. Too bad she didn't get to be with the rat pack genre' and then she would have really been appeciated; not that she isn't now, but she is totally an icon to the "older" generation who remark "I'm too old for that". Not true, anyone, any age can do whatever if the belief in self is there. She went on Idol as a "lark" and look what happened No long blonde hair, shapely figure, couture clothing, just plain "Susan" and not ashamed to show who she was (is) on idol when everyone rolled their eyes, giggled and look what happend! I LOVE, LOVE her! Keep up singing Susan and ignore the ignorant people who don't know a singer if it stared them in the face -- how can people idolize Taylor Swift and not Susan? I know -- blonde hair, shapely figure and not dowdy, all show no glow and as I've said a million times Taylor cannot sing period! End of store.
