Paula Abdul to Lead 'Star Search' Reboot?

The search for Paula Abdul's next TV gig may be over.

According to EW.com's Ausiello Files, the former 'American Idol' judge is in talks to join ABC's upcoming 'Star Search' reboot, which is currently eyeing a summer launch date. Sources claim that Abdul's role would involve some variation of hosting and judging, although no official word has been made.

Abdul's name has been attached to a number of projects since she abruptly left 'Idol' last summer, including ABC's 'Dancing With the Stars.' Recently, there have been rumblings that she may join Simon Cowell when 'The X Factor' heads to Fox in fall 2011, but, again, that remains a rumor.

Meanwhile, Abdul has stayed relatively active on television over the last six months. She filmed a guest spot on the hit Lifetime series 'Drop Dead Diva' and was the host of VH1's 'Diva's Live' special last September. She was also poised to appear on the ABC comedy 'Ugly Betty.' However, that deal fell through, and she was quickly replaced by Emmy-winning actress Kristen Johnston.

So far, neither ABC nor Abdul have commented on the report. But, for her sake, we hope she doesn't rush, rush her decision.

If Paula Abdul definatly doesn't want to do Idol again,
but she doesn't want to be on Ugly Betty, she doesn't
want to do Dancing With The Stars, she doesn't want to
do So You Think You Can Dance, and she probably won't
do ABC's planned Star Search reboot (I'm just guessing),
then what, what, WHAT? What show DOES Paula want to do?
