On the occasion of her new book, an essay collection titled 'Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang,' the 35-year-old comedian chatted with PopEater about discovering a risque joy at a young age, being a woman in comedy and why her father threatened to sue her.Are you going to be upset if this book doesn't reach number one like your last one?

The first essay in the book is about discovering masturbation as a kid. Ever been embarrassed by what you wrote?
No, I talk about masturbation in my stand up routine. I'm not embarrassed by anything I say. It's all pretty ridiculous.
Is your family embarrassed?
Yes, they are completely embarrassed. My dad threatened to sue me. I was on 'The Today Show,' and I said he's dating his 20-year-old Jamaican cleaning lady and he said, 'Please don't say that. I don't want people to think I'm off the market.' And I'm like, nobody wants you on the market, because you're so gross and you look like a bowling ball. Then he said that he could sue me and I said, 'No, because you'd have to borrow the money off me to sue me, so no.'
It seems like weird things happen to you. Why is that?
I attract nonsense in my life. You should see the group of people I'm sitting in a car with now. I think I'm just a little bit off, so I like to have people around me who are just a little bit off-er, so I look a little more normal.
You torture your boyfriend a lot.
I don't anymore. I tortured him so much we broke up.
Aww, I'm sorry.
It's okay. He's going to get over it one day. That's mean to say. I'm going to get bad karma in my next relationship. I shouldn't say that, but it's true.
Are you looking for a new boyfriend?
I am looking. Will you put it on AOL that I'm looking for someone of Polynesian or maybe Asian descent? I want to do something I haven't done before.
You're a pretty girl. Do you think that hurt or helped your comedy career?
Thank you for the compliment. I think it probably helped me. There are lots of attractive female comics around now.
Favorite guest on the show?
I love Jenny McCarthy. Women who are not scared to talk and say funny things. I love outspoken women.
You're executive producing a show for E!
A couple of them. One of them is called 'Pretty Wild,' and it's a pretty embarrassing show. It makes the Kardashians look pretty classy.

You have to be a woman to enjoy her show and her humour. I don't find her even remotely funny, but then again I'm a man. My wife and all of her friends enjoy watching her though. Not sure why, but there you have it. If people (women) didn't find her genuinely funny, then clearly she wouldn't be as successful as she is. I will say this though: this woman is not aging very well. She probably needs to get off the drugs and start taking better care of herself. If you look at picture of her in her late-twenties and then look at her now at 35, she looks like she's aged by over 20 years. Her last boyfriend must have realized this, either that or she annoyed him till he ran out the door with his tail between his legs.....

Nick, my dear, take it easy on the bitterness and laugh a little; there are very few to zero public personalities who are actually self-deprecating, so one has to actually give her credit in that department. I just finished her first book my hoizontal life and it was so witty and fast paced and interesting I counld not put it down.My husband and I watch her show every night and she has gotten me through a lot of rough times. Your beautiful,smart, and funny. The total triple threat!

Catering truck? My aren't you a presumptous fool. I have worked in the marketing/advertising end of the business for an entity which has innumerable Emmys and Oscars and the programming included the largest names in the business from Michael Jackson, to Whitney Houston to Barbra Streisand to Tom Hanks and just about any big name you can think of. And I know marketing. You should not make assumptions.

I'm in my 50's and think she's a whiney school-yard bully berefit of talent. My daughter is in her 20's and absolutely loves her. I don't get it, but obviously Chelsea has a following. This too shall pass. Oh - and in response to "nherentent", entertainment was overall more sophisticated and substanstive during the 60's. Jack Paar and Johnny Carson are perfect examples. I don't like Joan Rivers current material, but in the 60's she was a lot like Chelsea Handler.

I may be related to her ..... She has a quick wit, and can be very funny, But her language is so unnecessarily vulgar that I stoppped watching her and do not ever plan to start again. PS: I am far from a prude, but she just pushes the envelope way too far
