Miley Cyrus Is Not a Fan of the Internet Anymore

Remember when Miley Cyrus caused a big fuss by quitting Twitter? Well, the Disney superstar is explaining her decision.

"I was kind of, like, tired of telling everyone what I'm doing. I hate when I read things and celebrities are complaining like, 'I have no personal life.' I'm like, well that's because you write everything that you're doing," she told Movieline.

"So I was that person who was like, 'I'm so sad. I have no real, normal life, everyone knows what I'm doing.' And I'm like, well that's my own fault because I'm telling everyone. And then I'd tweet, 'I'm here,' and I'd wonder why a thousand fans are outside the restaurant. Well, hello, I just told them. So I'm just, like, kind of thinking [Twitter] doesn't really make a lot of sense. Everything I'm saying is not really going with what I'm putting on the Internet," she adds.

According to Cyrus, there are benefits of being less available in cyberspace. "I'm a lot less on my phone, I'm a little bit more social. I have a lot more real friends as opposed to friends who are on the Internet who I'm talking to -- which is, like, not cool, not safe, not fun and most likely not real. I have to say, I'm like, so over, like, Miley Cyrus's, like constant use of like, the word, like. She makes zero, like, sense, whether you're like, reading what she like says, or if it's like, what she's like writing.

I'm thinking, like, really...I'm like so over it.

Teens actually talk that way, and if you weren't 150 years old you would know that.If you were marginally intelligent, you would get past the insignificant issues around her saying "like" and realize the young lady actually has a good head on her shoulders ... unlike you.

This girl is cute and apparently talented. However, where is she getting her education? In almost every sentence she uses the word "like" inappropriately. I don't read twitter or facebook or any of those things and it's probably good she is not going to put her life on there. However, I'd sure hate to sit there and read her writing if the above is an example!

My daughter, like, loves Miley Cyrus, but I like can't stand her. She like rubs me like the wrong way. She does, like, have some entertainment value and like puts on a great show, but like, I imagine she needs to like change her image and she'll like do fine.

My 11 year old grandson watches Hannah Montana sometimes. I think she is so silly. The other characters don't act as silly as she does. It seems to me that she thinks she is funny, but I can't stand to watch her.

This girl is adorable. But she does NOT have talent. She is the daughter of a celebrity who happened to be at the right place at the right time. Because she's cute, people tolerate her singing which is not even close to being good. She should try to develop her acting skills because singing is not in the cards for her. You can learn to act. You can sing or you can't. She can't.

You are correct but her parents and PR are marketing her like she has talent. Making her appear like she is 21 or dancing on a pole doesn't help her; I think it hurts her.

I disagree.. I have listened to songs on the radio and have gone to Itunes to download them because I loved them so much and didn't realize it was Miley singing them until then... The girl can sing.. Don't be rude.. Don't be a hater. Geez.

Miley's career is already near an end. She has little appreciable talent and has been rather quick to do things to annoy the folks at Disney. A couple of years after Hannah Montana ends production with her, she will likely be appears at a Holiday Inn Lounge near you, with her even less talented father, Billy Ray "No Talent" Cyrus. I hope she managed her money well.

Miley is very over rated as an actress and singer and she is trying too hard to join the ranks of Spears, Perry, and the like. Her parents have turned her into a marketing machine to advance her career away from her wholesome image. Don't be fool that her parents don't know what is going on with her; they do and they are part of it.
What a shame Miley has to dress sleazy, pole dance, have half naked pics taken of her and do make out scences to advance her career away from Disney at her age. It didn't help Lohen so why would it help her?
You either have talent or you don't and not every actress can star in their own major movie like Bullock, or Berrymore and I don't think Miley can.
