Man Who Flaunts Ivanka Trump Obsession Arrested
Reno police have arrested a man that has dedicated a blog to his obsession with reality star and businesswoman Ivanka Trump. Justin Massler was picked up Tuesday on a New York warrant alleging he's used his Web site, the
Ivanka Trump Fan Blog, to stalk Trump.
On the Internet, Massler posts rambling articles describing Trump's "intensely alluring beauty" and routinely equates the 'Celebrity Apprentice' star to a goddess able to destroy her enemies.
According to the AP, Massler described himself in one blog post as "a celebrity stalker who is obsessed with Ivanka Trump." That entry appears to have been deleted from his site.
He has never met Trump.
His mother, Randee Massler of Reno, told the
Reno Gazette-Journal that her son has a history of mental illness. "He never harmed anyone and hasn't done anything other than write articles on the Internet," she said. "He's like a 10-year-old who has a crush on a movie star."
In one blog post dated Feb. 25, Massler tells a story of being homeless in New York City, where he would gaze upon Trump Tower, "praying that Ivanka would come by and save me from the pain, but sadly she never did."
Massler say he was just one of many homeless persons to wish Trump would help them out. "I wonder if when Ivanka looks down on the street she knows that there are homeless people down there praying for her to save them. I know I wasn't the only one who thought this way, that's for sure."
He even drew a
comic strip about his dream encounter.
Massler remained Thursday without bail in the Washoe County Jail in Reno. Reno police Lt. Mike Whan said it was not immediately clear whether Massler planned to waive or fight extradition. New York police Detective William Winning said he did not have any immediate information on the case.

i went to his blog and there is nothing wrong or threatening on it. it is actually well written and funny.
this is a clear abuse of 'a little guy' by the rich and famous. First Amendment lawyers should be all over this. This is a threat to all blogs

Probably, not being mean, but if he saw her without her make up , at her age. his obsession would probably be over. Have you seen Barbara Walters or Joan Rivers without their make up. Even a case of Pencil Stiffers wouldn't help
Carry... I think you are thinking of Ivana Trump, mother of Ivanka, who is actually attractive despite her fathers looks. Also, why did they arrest this guy again? Did he threaten her or show up at her house?
HE described HIMSELF as a celebrity stalker who was stalking her!!! How can you possibly argue that he's harmless and didn't stalk her?!
This is just wrong! This guy has never even met her and yet he's been arrested for stalking her?
There are millions of bloggers out there, how can you arrest someone for WRITING about her?
Where in the hell is the ACLU? How can this possibly be deemed a threat when he's in NV and she is in NY? What in the hell happened to civil rights? I know she is a millionaire, but this is ridiculous!

Substantial evidence is needed in order to get a warrant, it's not like they just arrested a random blogger. For the one who said there's nothing bad on it, did you skip the part in the article where they said posts had been removed? There are always stalkers, and with new technology, there are new ways to stalk.

so being mentally ill is a crime now? throw him in jail for being mentally unstable. dosnt matter if he broke any laws, just the fact that hes mentally unstable?

Sure, Schaeffer was stalked and killed by her stalker over a decade ago. Is this your rationale for generalizing that all those with crushes be put away? Don't make one anecdote the basis for your egregious claim about all bloggers who evince a crush.
In Invanka's defense, she is certainly not old and is not anything like Barbara Walters or Joan Rivers, and make-up or not, she is a good looking lady. Please don't arrest me!
Being mentally ill does explain why someone would waste their time and life blogging about a rich, pampered poodle.

This can end up being an illegal arrest. 1st, there is this constitutional right (1st amendment) giving him the right to write about celebrity (due procress, no violation).
Did he write any thing harmful like I will kill her? if no, did he buy any gun,...?
asking any celebrity to spend on his/her fans is just normal.(her father made her a VP, days after undergrad, he has a lot of changes, nobody needs 1+ Billion dollars to live, too much interests,...). Fans make you a celebrity, spending on them can make you more famous unless you are M-J (Jordan, no drink,...)

He should be put away in a nut house,would you people that think it's ok to do what he was doing like it if he was writing and fantasizing about you on his website? I think not. Eventually these people do try to make contact usually with bad results.Best to get them locked up.
