Man Who Flaunts Ivanka Trump Obsession Arrested

Reno police have arrested a man that has dedicated a blog to his obsession with reality star and businesswoman Ivanka Trump. Justin Massler was picked up Tuesday on a New York warrant alleging he's used his Web site, the Ivanka Trump Fan Blog, to stalk Trump.

On the Internet, Massler posts rambling articles describing Trump's "intensely alluring beauty" and routinely equates the 'Celebrity Apprentice' star to a goddess able to destroy her enemies.

According to the AP, Massler described himself in one blog post as "a celebrity stalker who is obsessed with Ivanka Trump." That entry appears to have been deleted from his site.

He has never met Trump.

His mother, Randee Massler of Reno, told the Reno Gazette-Journal that her son has a history of mental illness. "He never harmed anyone and hasn't done anything other than write articles on the Internet," she said. "He's like a 10-year-old who has a crush on a movie star."

In one blog post dated Feb. 25, Massler tells a story of being homeless in New York City, where he would gaze upon Trump Tower, "praying that Ivanka would come by and save me from the pain, but sadly she never did."

Massler say he was just one of many homeless persons to wish Trump would help them out. "I wonder if when Ivanka looks down on the street she knows that there are homeless people down there praying for her to save them. I know I wasn't the only one who thought this way, that's for sure."

He even drew a comic strip about his dream encounter.

Massler remained Thursday without bail in the Washoe County Jail in Reno. Reno police Lt. Mike Whan said it was not immediately clear whether Massler planned to waive or fight extradition. New York police Detective William Winning said he did not have any immediate information on the case.

Did they jump the gun here or not that is the question. Now adays you can't be sure. If you have a Star behind your name you've got a stalker. No one did anything when Rebeca was being stalked and all she did was walk outside her own door. He said he sat outside the Trump Building. We don't know if he planned on taking it further. At least now he'll get the help he might need. People with Mental illness are unpredictable. One minute it's just a fantasy and the next its real life. I would like to know what Trump has to say on all of this?

I just looked at his blog, and yes, he's clearly VERY fixated on Ivanka... but I have my own celebrity crushes too. I just don't dedicate blogs to them. He seems to be an innately intelligent man, and the things he wrote were amusing, not threatening. Of course, you just never know. We have so many women being murdered, both famous and non-famous, that it's difficult to know what the right course of action is!
