Paula Abdul 'Star Search' Deal Is Dead

Sorry, Paul Abdul fans. The former 'American Idol' judge won't be appearing on 'Star Search.'

EW.com reports that negotiations for the 'Straight Up' singer to host the revamped show and act as judge have halted.

ABC, however, is still planning to bring 'Search' back on the air.

Abdul has largely been absent from the small screen since vacating her seat on 'Idol.' She hosted VH1 'Divas' last September, and there has been talks of her joining 'So You Think You Can Dance?' and even Simon Cowell's upcoming American version of 'The X-Factor.'

I cannot watch onw more lesbian on tv - they are taking over every channel - whats wrong with everyone that they are accepting this way to live - the devil has to be doing this - wouldnt surprise me if our next president will be a lesbo

I think Paula Abdul is awesome. I am glad she will not host star search as that is doomed to failure. I hope she will be on The X Factor with Simon Cowell. Paula rocks!

What do any of you know about showbiz?? You're a bunch of goons with nothing better to do with your lives than to worry about whether Paula Abdul will have another TV show or not??
