We are reaping the emphasis on SELF-ESTEEM above everything else in the various school systems in the USA and Canada over the last 30-40 years.
We made sure that everything a child did or thought is (was) all-right. So much so that the great majority of young and mid- adults think that all actions and thoughts must first and foremost satisfy "me".
So, why take marriage vows seriously... I will satisfy my immediate desire and "cheat" on Sandra so I can take the opportunity and satisfy my selfishness- she'll never know.
Good on Sandra Bullock for immediately leaving the house once she found. Her actions leave nothing to clarify about her feelings.
That's my kind of woman: intelligent, educated, active, involved, talented, and beautiful to boot. I am glad that that is the kind of women I tried to raise my own daughters.
