Kate Gosselin Makes Her 'Dancing Debut'

Kate Gosselin has gone through a whirlwind over the last year: Cheating rumors, a nasty divorce, a public PR campaign to get her story out there ... and now, 'Dancing With the Stars.' The mother of eight shook her stuff on the 'DWTS' dance floor for the first time last night, and her performance was enough to make one judge jump to her defense after some less-than-kind words from another. Watch It Below:

After Kate and her partner, Tony Dovolani, stepped their way across the floor, the octomom was met with some harsh criticism by some of the judges.

"The technique was terrible," judge Bruno Tonioli said. "It looked like Tony was pushing a shopping cart around the floor. You have to exude something," he added as a chorus of boos from the audience began to build.

Host Tom Bergeron fired back at Bruno's "exude" quip, saying to Bruno: "Like you should exude tact."

Unfortunately for Kate and Tony, they were the third lowest scoring couple of the night, nabbing just 16 points. Who fared worse? 'All My Children' star Aiden Turner and Buzz Aldrin, the 80-year-old astronaut.

I dont like Kate,never have and never will,its all about 15 more minutes,and easy money with her.But I did feel sorry for her last night,but Bruno was right.I do hope she will do better next week.

Amen! She is so transparent. Nothing she does is about her kids. Everytime she uses her kids as the reason she pursues her pathetic 15-minutes of fame, it's offensive to every REAL mom out there. God help those kids.

I hope she gets another chance. At least she wasn't the lowerst score. Waltzes are kind of boring so I wasn't really into any of the dances last night. She'll improve. I have faith in her.

I thought it was called dancing with the STARS. Since when does a fame seeking so called mother equal a star. I guess she doesn't want to be called a mother, as she does not act like one.

There are 3 people in the news that I am sick and tired of hearing about Kate the Pimp, Jesse the Dirt Bag and Tiger the Sicko. It boils down to one simple answer, you cannot put a silk hat on a pig this applies to all three of these pigs. ENOUGH!!!!

I am so sick of people putting others down. At least she gave a decent performance....her first and being nervous. I bet she would have done better with more practice. I am tired of every one putting Kate down anyway. She isn't perfect and neither is any one else.

She wants attention, fame, and money...Stay home with kids and be a mom, which you haven't been...Tired of the Tiger story too...Enough already, ok he cheated, move on already....We don't care....There are far to many important stories out there besides Kate and Tiger....Sheezzzzzzzzzzz
