James Cameron Plays With Fire, Calls Glenn Beck a Raving 'Madman'

James Cameron thinks Glenn Beck is a dangerous "madman" with "poisonous" ideas, but he'd love to have a dialog with him, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Oh, Beck will have a dialog alright, but it will likely involve a chalkboard and the words "socialist" and "progressive."

The 'Avatar' director lashed out at FOX News' increasingly influential star at a press conference supporting the DVD release of his hit film, but the mood got dark when he was asked about Beck. "Glenn Beck is a f*****g a**hole. I've met him. He called me the anti-Christ and not about 'Avatar.' He hadn't even seen 'Avatar' yet. I don't know if he has seen it."

The famously blunt Oscar winner was likely referring to Beck's reaction to his 2007 documentary 'The Lost Tomb of Jesus,' which casts doubt on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Later, Cameron toned down the rhetoric while further discussing Beck: "I think, you know what, he may or may not be an a**hole, but he certainly is dangerous, and I'd love to have a dialog with him."

When asked to expand on why he believes Beck is dangerous, he explained, "Because his ideas are poisonous."

"I couldn't believe when he was on CNN. I thought, what happened to CNN? Who is this guy? Who is this madman? And then, of course, he wound up on Fox News, which is where he belongs, I guess."

Keep an eye out for Beck's response on either his radio show or on FOX.

Beck's definitely eccentric but dangerous? I guess if you don't believe that we as a country should adhere to the principals and values of our Constituion and don't beleive any of the words of wisdom from our founding fathers then you would find him dangerous.

I disagree with you. Beck is dangerous - he incites hatred and pushes for division - both of which is dangerous for any country and particularly for a country like ours with a glorious history of inclusion and tolerance. The Constitution guarantees Beck the right to air his opinion, but what he advocates and purports as news is quite often anti-American and very dangerous.

Thank you. Beck is a Conservative patriot in the manner and fashion of Ben Franklin or Thomas Paine. He has been using the modern media to warn the public about the erosion of basic American Values that formed the country and once made it an economic and educational success. This he does along with others like Rush, Michael Savage, and Mark Levin while waves of century old socialist concepts pervade the US and destroy our schools, encourage cheap labor, globalize our jobs, promote drug trafficking on our Southern border, give inalienable rights to non-citizens and criminals, and reduce the worldwide value of the American dollar to that of a peso. Beck only announces the facts and asks for the support of the American people.

The reason why folks on the left think that Glen Beck is "dangerous" and "poisonous" is because he speaks the truth.

My father is a racist and he loves Beck. He does not consider anything Beck says as dangerous - he loves every word because Beck provides support for his views. Beck is indeed dangerous because he is encouraging hatred and divisiveness in our country. Those of us who can tell the difference from truth and hateful propaganda know that Beck is truly dangerous.

Glenn Beck is very good at partial truths. He leaves out the rest. Then he twists the gullible emotional opinionated , illiterates around his little finger. He's like a snake oil salesman conning the uneducated.

I have no doubt that one day we shall learn that Beck meddles with little boys or has some other gross perversion. Though the discovery that Limbaugh is an addict merely endeared him to his followers - perhaps Beck's perversions will endear him more-so to his as well.

Actually, if you check Glenn Beck's "facts" you will find that they range from self-serving MISrepresentations of the truth to outright lies. He is only dangerous because people who don't know what the truth is rely on him for so-called "facts". Hitler did much the same thing, and of course his propaganda chief, Goebbels invented the whole concept of the Big Lie - writing that if you repeated a lie often enough the people will begin to believe it. Much of modern advertising is based on that concept, and Beck uses it to his own financial advantage.

Beck is a raving fool and is a menace to the American public and each time he opens his foul mouth he is plotting his own self destruction.When Fox wakes up to the realization that he is wrecking what little reputation they have, they'll get smart and give him his walking papers. Just a matter of time.
