James Cameron Plays With Fire, Calls Glenn Beck a Raving 'Madman'

James Cameron thinks Glenn Beck is a dangerous "madman" with "poisonous" ideas, but he'd love to have a dialog with him, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Oh, Beck will have a dialog alright, but it will likely involve a chalkboard and the words "socialist" and "progressive."

The 'Avatar' director lashed out at FOX News' increasingly influential star at a press conference supporting the DVD release of his hit film, but the mood got dark when he was asked about Beck. "Glenn Beck is a f*****g a**hole. I've met him. He called me the anti-Christ and not about 'Avatar.' He hadn't even seen 'Avatar' yet. I don't know if he has seen it."

The famously blunt Oscar winner was likely referring to Beck's reaction to his 2007 documentary 'The Lost Tomb of Jesus,' which casts doubt on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Later, Cameron toned down the rhetoric while further discussing Beck: "I think, you know what, he may or may not be an a**hole, but he certainly is dangerous, and I'd love to have a dialog with him."

When asked to expand on why he believes Beck is dangerous, he explained, "Because his ideas are poisonous."

"I couldn't believe when he was on CNN. I thought, what happened to CNN? Who is this guy? Who is this madman? And then, of course, he wound up on Fox News, which is where he belongs, I guess."

Keep an eye out for Beck's response on either his radio show or on FOX.

Funny... I don't think the color of the man matters... To me, to Beck, to most of America... It's not about his color, it's about the policies -- Hard for you to argue facts isn't it? It must be so much easier for you to list a 'straw man' arguement and just call names. (Do you need me to define 'straw man' for you?)

Actually, if you check Glenn Beck's "facts" you will find that they range from self-serving MISrepresentations of the truth to outright lies. He is only dangerous because people who don't know what the truth is rely on him for so-called "facts". Hitler did much the same thing, and of course his propaganda chief, Goebbels invented the whole concept of the Big Lie - writing that if you repeated a lie often enough the people will begin to believe it. Much of modern advertising is based on that concept, and Beck uses it to his own financial advantage.

Beck is dangerous because in incites violence and poisons people's minds with conjured up rants that don't make any sense.

He never has facts to back his rants. Basically he is an actor who is influencing the weak and laughing all the way to bank because he knows how he is fooling everyone.

All he does is put up the facts and tells everyone who is listening to look them up yourself. Obama never has any facts. They say what they want and never back up anything. Glenn sticks to the same points and never says things he doesn't believe. The President is caught on tape saying he wants a single payer system more than once, then when asked about it says he never said that. Wake up!!!

Give me an example of the violence that Glenn Beck has provoked? Surely you are not talking about the Tea Party people. Not only do they gather without violence, they pick up any litter they may leave behind. Sure can't say the same thing about the protesters at the G8 meetings. They can't wait to smash windows, set cars on fire, and leave trash everywhere. You don't see any conservatives at the voting poles with clubs in their hands threatening people to vote their way, unlike the Acorn group. So, please, give me an example of the violence that Glen Beck incites.

Glen Beck sure does make the left wing Socialists in our country nervous. He makes valid points using logic and the socialists own words to make the point that we must stop this movement or it won't be the United States Of America anymore but something more like the United Socialist States of America. The progressive socialist have awakened a huge number of Democrats, Republicans and Independents and will see the results of their anger in November
