Puck From 'Real World' Badly Injured in Car Wreck

Puck, the villain from season 3 of 'The Real World,' has been hospitalized with serious injuries after losing control of his car on the way to a fishing trip with his son.
According to TMZ, the former bike messenger -- real name David Rainey -- was driving along Route 79 when he swerved to avoid a deer and rolled down an embankment, flipping over and landing upside down in a creek. He was trapped, but his 8-year-old son was able to free himself and run for help.
Puck and his son were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they treated the reality vet for a broken neck and crushed bones in his hands and feet. He also fractured his sternum and clavicle, according to the report.
The child suffered internal injuries, including to his liver. He has been released from the hospital; however, Puck will remain in treatment for another week.
Puck was the smarmy bike messenger that ruffled feathers on 'The Real World: San Francisco.' While on the show, he was known for his poor personal hygiene and for his contentious relationship with the season's tragic star, Pedro Zamora, who later died of AIDS.

Although I never really cared too much for him and his vile, despicable ways, I hope he gets well. Maybe this accident would change him and change how he views on people.

I really hated this guy when he was on the show. still, it has been a long time since Real World 3, & people tend to evolve. Rainey is married with kids now. Hopefully, he has matured a great deal since San Francisco. I hope he and his son recover from this terrible accident. I would hope Pedro would feel the same way.
I honestly hope the little boy gets well. As for Puck, you reap what you sow ,jerk !

I feel sorry for the kid but when you're forced to spend your time with stupid people, bad things happen.

Puck was in season three, not season two.

Hence the reason the article says "season 3"
Duh, Scott, obviously they edited their mistake.
The greatest tragedy is that this moron was allowed to pro-create

Well he was trying to avoid hitting a deer so I guess the lesson here is to just run the stupid animal over. That's exactly what I'll do before I put myself or anyone else in danger.

I have to say that I actually hung out with this guy after the show and he really isn't as bad as he was portrayed. Puck was a personality, but Dave is really not a bad guy. I hope everything turns out OK for him and his son.

I wish you'd get your facts straight - Puck was in Season 3 of Real World, and it was in Miami. If you don't get these details correct, how do we trust the rest of what you report?
