Sandra Bullock Not Attending Kids' Choice Awards

Although Sandra Bullock is nominated as Favorite Movie Actress for her work in 'The Blind Side' and 'The Proposal,' she will not be attending the 2010 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, her rep tells PEOPLE. The awards show marks Bullock's third canceled appearance, following her decision not to attend the London and Berlin premieres of 'The Blind Side.'

Bullock has not been seen in public since since the scandal concerning her husband's alleged infidelities erupted, but fans had been hoping she would attend the Kid's Choice Awards. In a recent PopEater poll, 79 percent of voters believed the Kids' Choice Awards would "absolutely" be a good place for Bullock to make her first post-scandal appearance.

In recent months, Bullock has grabbed award after award, and she's expected to clean up yet again on Saturday. Now that she has confirmed she will not be in attendance, many are wondering who will accept her award if she does win.

Until Thursday afternoon, Bullock's entry on the Kids' Choice Web site contained this unfortunate "fun fact": "Sandra is happily married to the tattooed superstar motorcycle maker and monster mechanic Jesse James."

It has since been altered, and now reads, "Sandra has designed special seat-belts so her pet dogs, Ruby and Poppy, can ride safely in her car."

Last year, Bullock and Hugh Jackman co-hosted the Kids' Choice Awards and didn't seem to mind being drenched with gallons of the event's signature green slime. Bullock has been nominated twice -- in 1995 and 2000 -- for the Blimp Award.

Finally a real woman who makes the right decision for herself and leaves her cheating husband when she finds out. Most of these Hollywood stars stick with their cheating spouses because they are afraid a new, younger person will grab them. Sandra was so impressively smart to not have more children with him and just packed up and left his sorry ass when she found out. That is class.

a real woman, she has cancelled one engagement after another after winning the oscar. if hiding from the public makes her a real woman than women in this country are in really bad shape. the next thing you know she will be on drugs and jumping off a building. poor little sandra looking for sympathy. why dont you follow the advise you gave elin and go get your bat and start swinging. it easy to spout off at the mouth until you have to walk in those shoes

To Rex: You're an idiot. A "real" woman knows that she needs time away from the public to deal with a situation like this for her self. Being cheated on by the man that promises to "love, honor and cherish" you isn't like ordering the wrong item off the menu, it's life altering. If Sandra needs time away to do her own sole searching then it's her choice, how she deals with HER life is HER choice. You deal with your life however you see fit, let others do the same.

Sandra does not have any children with Jesse All the kids are his. She will do what is right for her. Just because a man cheats doesn't mean you can't still be together if that is what she wants. This needs to be handled privatly not in the news.

Rex - she is handling this painful situation with dignity and integrity. Who are you to judge her? She's made the studios their money already. Being a public figure, if she were to attend these events right now she would have every microphone shoved in her face asking her extremely personal and nosey questions. If she refused to answer that would be splashed all over the tabloids too. Whatever she does is right for her and find by me.

I can appreciate that she may still be too upset to hold it all together, but hope that she in no way starts reacting to this crises like it is somehow a reason for HER to be ashamed and hide. She will find her fans and public very supportive of her, I think.

it's not the fans Sandra's avoiding it's the bottom feeding paparazzi. the minute they see her all they are going to ask her is about jesse & her marriage. as much as i respect the 1st amendment these vultures need to be eliminated.

I think the media should leave her and Jesse alone to sort this out. It's none of out business, we have no right to the information. What they work out between themselves is THEIR business. It is very evident to me tha while Sandra was working so hard on her career these past few years garnering award on top of award maybe she should have been concentrating on her marriage. The movie business requires actors and actresses to be away from home for long periods of time and can creat stress on marriages. I would venture to say that possibly she was cheating on him with some of her hunky costars.

You don't have anything at all to base that on, except perhaps your own animalistic behavior. There are people in this world who DO have morals and know what is appropriate and what is not, and have enough self control to behave appropriately. That does not include "doing" any old thing just because it "feels good."
Those mature persons who learn to let their brain rule rather than their butt, end up much better off.

WOW, god72father! You are the classic proof that God blessed men with two heads but only enough blood supply to operate one at a time. Women do not think like animals; therefore, it is within reason to believe that a woman can conduct herself with dignity and integrity no matter where she may be. Sandra Bullock is one of the most decent human beings I ever had the honor of working on a set with. How could you possibly attack HER character? Did her husband's scandal cause you to relive something in your own life?

Nice..... it's the blame the victim in your world huh? Clearly you have no clue what marriage is. This man knew who he was marrying and if you think a I'm spending too much time alone is a great excuse to be sleeping around, you must not be much of a prize for your mate.... She took on his children for goodness sake and by all accounts was a very caring stepmom. If that isn't love, I don't know what is, despite having to spend time away from each other.
