Owen Wilson Sued Over Alleged Photog Assault

Battling the paparazzi is a family affair for the Wilson brothers, now that one photographer is suing both
Owen and Andrew over an alleged assault that occurred in Santa Monica back in December of 2008,
TMZ reports. In a lawsuit filed last week, Clint Brewer claims that he was attacked by the brothers and "sustained severe bodily injuries, a portion of which are permanent."
According to Brewer, "[I] was walking up the stairs and was pushed in the back" by
Owen Wilson.
Apparently, the brothers did a number on the paparazzo. He is seeking over $3,000 in medical expenses and $500,000 in general damages.
But Brewer may have a habit of getting a little too close. A celebrity photographer with the same name was
arrested in 2006 on suspicion of trespassing at the school attended by four-year-old Maddox Jolie-Pitt, adopted son of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
"He was seen hiding in the bushes at about the time parents tend to drop off their kids, trying to get a shot of [Pitt and Jolie]," a sheriff's spokesman said.

Wilson didn't hit him hard enough.

I wonder why the celebs don't press stalking charges against these photographers. Stop paying a tobacco tax. Death to all stalkerazzi.
He should of beat him down sensless. If they reward that behavior we are going to have photographers suing every one that
steps on their toe.

I whole-heartedly agree. He got just what he deserved if owen did indeed hurt him. They invade personal space and privacy and expect to have no consequences. Before someone can jump in and say well that's what celebrities sign on for (which is crap) think about how you would like a camera shoved in your while you're taking your kids to school or on a much needed date with your significant other?
the photo guys are breaking no laws, leave them alone or you face criminal charges
Hey R this dude was arrested in 2005 for hiding in bushes and stalking Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitts kids at their school. If someone was doing that to my children I would beat him down. What a scuzzy job. Get a real one .
he should go to jail for assault celebrity or not why dont her quit his job as actors so no one can vido him on the big screen

Paparazzi = sleazbag. The only problem is; most americans follow suit by buying sleazbag magazines. It's just a sad state of affairs when losers who's only talent is preying on talented people, disrespect privacy rights, and then expect their rights to be upheld. I mean should Dale Earnhardt's family sue the wall? Give us a break, I think all paparazzi should expect and receive painful reminders, that their line of work is NOT appropriate.

Medical expenses where 3000.00? Poor baby must have gotten a little road rash on his knee.

Stay out of other peoples affairs and things like this wouldn't happen.

Walking up the stairs and was pushed from the back. Hmm! Sounds like he'd already gotten his pics and was walking away from the brothers. Considering today's hospital costs, he couldn't have been too badly hurt. Permanent injury is probably a scar or something from where he skinned his knee or shin in the fall. Someone said it best. The Wilson's should have pushed him down the stairs. Just because they appear on screen in front of millions doesn't mean that they've given up the right to some privacy when not appearing at a hollywood related function.

Sounds to me like the paparazzo got what he deserved. When you get in people's faces with a camera getting roughed up over it is just a hazard of the job. Just like when a rodeo cowboy gets on the back of a bull... there's a real chance he might get hurt. Suck it up paparazzo boy.

They should never hit the paparazi but I can see how you might be tempted these guys need to give the celebs somre slack. If someone was allways in my face I wouldent like it at all. There needs to be some rules for the paparazi to keep their distance thats what they make telephoto lenses for.

A lot of those stalkerazzi purposely try to bait the celebs by saying nasty stuff trying to get a reaction. IMO, he got what he wanted, a nasty reaction, (if it is even true). He probably was scurrying away like the rodent he is and tripped himself going up the stairs.

I think the courts should take action against the paparazzi, and draw a line for them as to what they and what they cannot do. They are frequently crossing a line that borders on just being really scary and invasive individuals.
I understand when a person is a star, they should expect a little broadcasting of their personal lives. However, paparazzi & trash rags go too far.
There should be a law against that happening.
