Jackson Bodyguard Fired Because of 'Criminal Past'
The bodyguard who called 911 the day Michael Jackson died was
fired late last week by the singer's family. Now, we know why. A close friend of the Jacksons tells
PopEater exclusively that Alberto Alvarez was let go Friday after they discovered he had a criminal record and no longer felt he should be near the family's large brood of children.
Alvarez had worked at the Jackson family compound since the legendary singer's death last June, but recently "there was something off about him."
As the
AP first reported, Alvarez told the LAPD two months after Jackson's death that Dr. Conrad Murray stopped CPR on the singer in order to hide vials of Propofol, the powerful sedative. He also claimed Murray instructed him to help pick fallen drug bottles off the floor before medics arrived. Immediately after Jackson's death, Alvarez said nothing of the sort to investigators.
Joe Jackson then confronted Alvarez about his changing story; he was preparing a wrongful death suit against Murray and wanted to know exactly what happened the day his son died. Jackson wanted to know if his initial story was an attempt to cover up crucial evidence to shield Murray.
Irked by his behavior, the family decided to look into Alvarez's background and what they allegedly found was disturbing.
"When he started changing his stories, the estate decided to check him out," the family friend tells us. "He not only had a DUI, there was a domestic violence dispute on his record. Someone had filed a domestic complaint against Alvarez, and he also had a DUI arrest."
Since Alvarez was hired by Michael Jackson and was there during the final moments of his life, the family did not think twice about his background and certainly "didn't know he had a criminal past."
However, they concluded that Alvarez was "not someone the Jackson family would have employed around the Jackson children. The estate had not other choice but to let Alberto Alvarez go."
Joe Jackson is in the
process of suing Murray, whom he also believes waited too long to get his son to the hospital.
"I want justice for my son, that's all I want, justice," Jackson told PopEater after news of the lawsuit broke on Monday. "There's a hearing for Dr. Murray in April, and I will be going. Dr. Murray needs to talk, and tell everything he knows. All I want is justice for my son's death."

We'll I've heard allegations that Mr. Jackson was a child abuser, supposedly from Michael himself. Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle .........

I agree totally. So Joe's abuse to his kids is ok but a DUI or domestic abuse by someone Michael hired is not? Joe is just looking for some MONEY so he is suing the doctor. Not that the doctor shouldn't be punished but Joe shouldn't get any money out of it!!!!!! What a jerk!!!!!

Just because someone says you did something doesn't mean you did it. Look how they tried to embezel money from the Travoltas. Does it mean they are criminals because someone said they didn't get treatment for their son and Cindy Crawford, is she a criminal because the nanny tied up her daughter while playing a game. Michael Jackson is no more of a criminal than these people who were falsly accused.
For those ignorant who do lack knowledge. MJ was vindicated what just confirms to everyone with a brain that his activities were true humanitarian activities. I appreciate everything MJ did in order to help vulnerable and sick people, and in particular -children.
Michael Jackson was acquitted on all charges of child molestation. The FBI investigated him across the globe for eleven years, and found no evidence against him.So unless you personally have uncovered new evidence against M. Jackson, STFU!

What do you mean when you say nobody wants to mention Michael's heinous criminal past with children. Not only was he proven innocent on all charges, the boy that accused him confessed to lying. Want proof? Check on MichaelJacksongenious on Youtube.
Anyways, I don't think they should exaggerate his "criminal" past because everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure Michael hired him using smart tactics. Murray SHOULD be held accountable for Michael's death because he waited approximately 90 minutes after Michael collapsed to call the paramedics. MJ COULD'VE STILL BEEN ALIVE IF IT WASN'T FOR THIS STUPID MURRAY GUY.

michael jackson never did anything to a child.do some research on the players in the extortion cases ..all the same lawyer , d.a. and same tabloid reporter trying to bring mj down ..he was gound innocent fourteen times on the trumoed up charges
and before people bring up oj simpson, remember these people were loking for one conviction to get money in a civil suit..they didnt get anything..that is what a bs case it was, didnt even try in a civil suit where its alot easier to prove liabiliy.

Just because he was acquitted doesn't mean he didn't do it. I don't hear anything about settlements to the children's families here. The man was a freak, not a hero. He was ashamed of his heritage and did everything he could to be "white", he played with little boys all the time and had them spend the night and sleep in his bed with him (what kind of grown man does this?), he was a drug addict and he couldn't sing a song without holding and rubbing his crotch (sexual perversion). I will give him credit for his music but nothing else. As far as his family goes, Janet turned out pretty good and the mom's not too bad but the dad was an abuser and has made his living off of his kids. He's just trying to make some more now.
