Jackson Bodyguard Fired Because of 'Criminal Past'

The bodyguard who called 911 the day Michael Jackson died was
fired late last week by the singer's family. Now, we know why. A close friend of the Jacksons tells
PopEater exclusively that Alberto Alvarez was let go Friday after they discovered he had a criminal record and no longer felt he should be near the family's large brood of children.
Alvarez had worked at the Jackson family compound since the legendary singer's death last June, but recently "there was something off about him."
As the
AP first reported, Alvarez told the LAPD two months after Jackson's death that Dr. Conrad Murray stopped CPR on the singer in order to hide vials of Propofol, the powerful sedative. He also claimed Murray instructed him to help pick fallen drug bottles off the floor before medics arrived. Immediately after Jackson's death, Alvarez said nothing of the sort to investigators.
Joe Jackson then confronted Alvarez about his changing story; he was preparing a wrongful death suit against Murray and wanted to know exactly what happened the day his son died. Jackson wanted to know if his initial story was an attempt to cover up crucial evidence to shield Murray.
Irked by his behavior, the family decided to look into Alvarez's background and what they allegedly found was disturbing.
"When he started changing his stories, the estate decided to check him out," the family friend tells us. "He not only had a DUI, there was a domestic violence dispute on his record. Someone had filed a domestic complaint against Alvarez, and he also had a DUI arrest."
Since Alvarez was hired by Michael Jackson and was there during the final moments of his life, the family did not think twice about his background and certainly "didn't know he had a criminal past."
However, they concluded that Alvarez was "not someone the Jackson family would have employed around the Jackson children. The estate had not other choice but to let Alberto Alvarez go."
Joe Jackson is in the
process of suing Murray, whom he also believes waited too long to get his son to the hospital.
"I want justice for my son, that's all I want, justice," Jackson told PopEater after news of the lawsuit broke on Monday. "There's a hearing for Dr. Murray in April, and I will be going. Dr. Murray needs to talk, and tell everything he knows. All I want is justice for my son's death."

To all those saying Jackson was never found guilty of child molestation... As I recall he settled most of the cases out of court? For undisclosed amounts of money if memory serves me right, and it usually does. Why would a man with nothing to worry about allow such charges to go to trial then back out and pay off the accusors? Just asking...

Try to read more. If the LAPD had found any collaboratiive evidence in the Chandler case, MJ would have been charged with the crime as in the STATE vs. JACKSON. Chandler would then be subpoenaed to give evidence. The out of court settlement was paid by his insurance, while Jackson protested his innocense till the end. Polanskiwas tried regardless of the fact that he had settld out of court with the victim.MJ insisted on his day in court in the Aviso case, and was cleared. You are not suggesting that MJ paid off the thousands of kids who stayed in Neverland over a period of 15years? Read Ian Halperin's Book: "Michael Jackson, Unmasked" Halperin set out to PROVE that Jackson was guilty and should never have been acquitted. READ THE BOOK
I go with Diane Dimond's book "Be Careful who you love".
Just research. Only a suggestion. Amount disclosed. Reason too.
The Jackson family must do wht they feel is best to protect the children. However, I can understand why Mr. Alverez was reluctant to report the vials, when he was first questioned. At that point, the Police didn't know about the propofol, and he didn't want to be the one to tell them. He was trying to protect Michael's reputation. What Mr. Alvarez didn't realize is that Dr. Murray had allowed so much medicine to keep flowing into Mike after he stopped breathing, until there was no way to cover it up.
That medicine stays in your system, when the patient isn't breathing. Dr. Murray had left Michael unattended for so long, until that medicine was even in his stomach. If the Doctor was going to agree to the administration of this medicine, he should have made sure that he had all of the necessary equipment to keep Mike breathing. He never should have left Mike unattended, since he knew what could happen.
Dr. Murray should be charged with murder for trying to cover his rear end, by allowing Mike to die. He waited so long to get help for Mike, until he let him die. The Paramedics could have possibly saved him, if they would have known what he had been given. Dr. Murray let him die, because he thought if he waited long enough, the medicine couldn't be detected.

That was the whole problem...everyone trying to protect Michael Jackson's reputation. If he was surrounded by people that cared about him and loved him they would have gotten him the help that he needed so desperately and maybe he would still be alive today. They were all just out to get his money and as long as they were doing what he said to do they were getting it. Such as shame what money does to some people
hey jude, take a bad book, and make it better. By reading evidence based, OBJECTIVE accounts of molestation. Versus the Diane Demon Diamond SUBJECTIVE, bullsheet view.
The Jackson's felt there was something "OFF" about the guy. WOW, they got alot of nerve saying someone is off. That family is way off. He's better off without the jackson's, now he tell the real dirt on these clowns.

Someone gets fired over a DUI and domestic violence record? Is Popeater in need of a story? Thought Joe Jackson seeking justice, rather than a handout, more interesting. Go check Congressmens' records; now that would be interesting.

Joe Jackson will sell anyone of his own family for a buck.
And why not check out a person before hiring them? Thats the way its suppose to be done. Joe is full of it, we all know what hes about.

I don't think this doctor meant to kill him. It was an unfortunate accident, but Jacksons family also need to be reminded their son/brother, etc, was a juncky in a huge, gigantic way. He would have gotten the drugs from anyone else and because he had so many different people supplying hi with drugs it hurt this doctor more. I don't think Murray knew of everyone who supplied him with all the drugs. Jackson was a junky and to say this man intented to kill him is also not fair. And to call the Alvarez guy a criminal is stupid. Many people have DUI and if after several years employers forgive this kind of thing. Wasn't he accused of abusing Michael. Michael himself said his father abused him terribly. They used his background check to fire him when they are all way worse. MICHAEL WAS A JUNKY, get it. They must be in denial and it's everyone's fault. Be real. Be honest...

Michael was not a "junky". He was an innocent man destroyed by the "media", was trying his best to raise three kids and just wanted to be able to sleep. He spent his adult life giving vast sums to the less fortunate and using his genius as an artist to benefit sick kids and their families. Those who think otherwise should pickup "Conspiracy" and "Redemption" and read the FACTS about the 2004 trial. Michael thereafter left his beloved home after it was raided several times by the warrantless FBI. When is American going to wake up and realize what we lost due to the likes of Bashir, Dimond, Sawyer and their ilk. As for Alvarez, let's hope he doesn't "turn" on MJ's memory due to having lost his job. Murray you are going down.
Honestly, state of California must be in denial too. Nothing to do with family. QUACK BROKE LAW. Addiction is MOOT POINT with respect.
No....all he wants is money,

He doesn't want justice he wants MONEY!

Someone please tell me why a background check wasn't done before this man was hired? Something smells funny here.

If Michael did nothing to children, why did he leave the country, then pay off the second child's family?

To escape American idiots. First family ones paid by insurance. Both families extortionists. Most significant, first family member can no longer spend stolen money.
Michael Jackson was a drug addict. In addition to what Dr. Murray was supplying him with, Jackson was supplementing his stash from other sources. Drug addiction is progressive, once you start using drugs your body will ask for more, more, more.
It is not like we have never seen this happen before. The list of these entertainer freaks that killed themselves with drugs is long and will keep on getting longer. Dr. Murray kept him from dying before he did. Give him thanks!

I'm praying many will be able to thank the state of California for upholding law. Would be eternally grateful.
