Erykah Badu's 'Window Seat' video is a purpose-driven striptease, featuring the singer walking through the city center of her hometown Dallas, tossing her clothes and walking slowly to the tune of the track. Immediately after Badu goes full nude, a gunshot rings out, her head whips back violently as her body goes limp, tumbling to the ground, leaving spectating citizens utterly confounded.And it all goes down "within feet" of Dealey Plaza, the infamous spot of John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Badu told the newspaper the video was a "protest" and "about liberating yourself," adding that she chose the grassy knoll intentionally, for its historical significance."I tied it in a way that compared the assassination to the character assassination one would go through after showing his or her self completely," Badu told the Dallas Morning News. "That's exactly the action I wanted to display."

Is the guy in the red jacket apart of the video? He picked up her jacket and is running behind her. This was not the place for her to do this video. If she wanted to liberate herself, she should have done it at home or a studio. She did this to boost record sales. I'm going to do it to boost my book sales. Clever!! People are so desperate in our society. Everyone is not into looking at a total strangers naked body. Listen to her lyrics...I need you to want me, need you, I need your attention.
What she is doing is showing the naked human body. People we were born naked!!!!!
She is not promoting sin like Lady GaGa with the Homosexuality and Bi-Sexuality.

I understand she is trying to make a point. But that particular spot in the world will always be, almost like sacred ground. I think she could have picked a less sensitive location. I was very angry when I saw the video.

Great Video.
-Funny, I always ask for a window seat. However, in this case, I don’t think the message is to just look at what’s going on but it is to get involved. If we were all to collectively get involved and subscribe to this line of thought, would we have destroyed group think or created another version?
As I looked at her, I saw myself something that I see everyday. I like the fact that she wrote EVOLVE on her body. Because as an individual it is truly a task when one attempts to evolve or gains enough confidence in oneself to not just go with the flow without first conscious thought. However, to evolve may mean to also live in an unintentionally isolated world.

Could have made a statement without the nudity. Nude is so cliche and out of sinc with the times. Really should have been arrested considering there were children there. I drive that way and is just grossing me out. I hope it rains soon.
