Kate Gosselin Wanted Her 'DWTS' Partner Fired

Kate Gosselin on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Exclusive: Sources backstage at 'Dancing With the Stars' tell me the sparring between Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani that we saw last night is just the tip of the iceberg, and that things escalated so quickly that Kate insisted Tony get the boot from the show! However, from what I'm hearing, it's not Tony who's the problem. Inside 'DWTS' dish you won't get anywhere else, after the jump!

"Everyone involved in the show thinks Kate is impossible. We all feel very sorry that poor Tony got paired up with her. She talks to him as if he is her ninth child," sources tell me. "At one point things got so bad that Kate demanded that the shows producers fire Tony and get her a new partner. However, everyone would rather get rid of her than Tony, who is loved by all the staff."

During the March 29 broadcast, video showed Kate and Tony clashing during a rehearsal. Dovolani walked out on Gosselin after she questioned his technique, arguing that what he was teaching her was "wrong." Gosselin teared up on camera, and it looked as though she was going to quit. But they finally pulled through and danced the Jive for the show, despite Dovolani saying on camera that he should quit.

Tony has since apologized for his "quit" taunt, and now has decided he needs to keep on 'Dancing' no matter how "impossible" Kate may be. Unfortunately for the two, they scored just 15 out of 30 points, and may be eliminated this week.

Okay, First things first, to Kate...Tony is YOUR teacher...not the other way around!! Listen to him!! Don't chastise him..he is NOT one of your kids!! Stop being so damn controlling and maybe people will stop leaving you!! Second...You can not dance and we all know you are there simply to extend your 15 minutes which was up a long time ago! Go home!!

I agree that she should go. I have always known that she was the problem and as for the so called bodyguard, who is she to need a bodyguard unless there really is something going on there between them. She is no longer doing a show for TLC and supposedly they were the ones paying for him so is she now paying him to do what?

I totally agree!! Kate is not a "star" and doesn't even belong on the show. I've watched this show since the first...but I won't be tuning in until I read/hear that Kate is GONE. Putting her on in the first place was a mistake. Producers...the show is called Dancing with the STARS. Let's get back to the original premise, OK? True "STARS" only from now on!!!

I watched the video and could not believe she had the guts to go on stage. Not only cant she dance, she is choosing the most horrible outfits!

I thought this show was called "Dancing With the Stars", not "Dancing With the Control-freak-harpy-desperate-to-extend-her-15-minutes". Good lord, will she go away, already. For poor Tony's sake, I hope she's eliminated. Better luck next season, dude. He obviously drew the short straw this time. LOL.

First off... Just because they write it here, doesn't mean it's true (that she asked for him to be fired). Second, just because Tony teaches dancers and other dance teachers, doesn't mean he's a good "beginner's teacher". A good instructor, in this position, must do whatever he can to bring out the best in his partner, no matter how different or challenging that might be. That said, I love Tony... But... it's a lot for her to learn given she's less of a performer than any other contestant and that she has little dance abilities, lack of confidence, and is mentally over-taxed for remembering the choreography. I love to dance, but probably would be challenged too. It's good on her that she's even trying to do something that is such a stretch for her. Give the girl a little credit and a pat on the back for effort. Even the judges (Len especially) did. Be a little kinder... How would you do??? Judge not lest you be judged.
