Dr. Drew Says Jesse James Is No Tiger

They're both in the headlines for serial infidelity, but Tiger Woods and Jesse James are hardly in the same boat, says 'Celebrity Rehab' host Dr. Drew Pinsky. In a RadarOnline.com interview, the love doctor believes Sandra Bullock and her allegedly cheating husband James have no chance, whereas "Tiger and Elin were very much in love at some point, and that was a very genuine love. They have two children together, a family, and many, many experiences together, and many reasons to try and make their marriage work."

In Bullock's case, Pinksy says, "If I were treating Sandra, I would advise her to leave Jesse James. They don't have a long life together, it's been a relatively short-term relationship. There is no doubt to me that this relationship is over. Jesse is a sex addict and Sandra is a love addict. Sex addicts go for power and intensity, and that intensity is probably what attracted Sandra to Jesse. However, that intensity is not love, it's addiction. Sandra probably didn't give Jesse that level of intensity that he got with the mistresses."

He questions Bullock's attraction to a man who seems, on the surface, so unsuitable. "What is going on with her?" Pinksy asks. "Jesse is probably a very nice guy, but it's simply not a good combo for a sex addict and a love addict to be in a relationship. I'm going to make a prediction that Jesse is probably not going to change."

The 'Loveline' host suggests that Sandra needs "therapy to deal with what has happened. She is probably devastated."

Pinsky adds, "I would guess she would need at least a couple of years. She needs individual treatment. I would guess she could start to date in at least six months."

I totally agree with you.....by far Tiger Woods did the most damage to his marriage. Dr. Pinsky says TW marriage is more based on love versus Sandra Bullocks and that makes no sense to me. Love is love and none of us know the intensity of each individual. I do agree that Tiger is more likely the sex addict than Jesse James.

Give me a break, Jesse James sought professional help because he got caught. Jesse James just lost a good "baby sitter". Jesse is not going to change. Sandra was totally humiliated, but remember HOPE FLOATS.

He left, got married, lasted a few months and then wanted me back! What??? Let me think? NO, LOL

Here is another QUACK looking to follow in "Dr." Phil's footsteps. Has he treated any of these 4 people? Has he interviewed or examined them? Where does he get off DIAGNOSING them? And for his advice? If you have never spoken with any of the parties involved, how do you give advice? How does he know Elin was very much in love with Tiger? It seems to me of the 4 people in the relationships, she had the biggest need for money, and she ended up with the richest person. How does he know Sandra is addicted to love? Did he get that from watching her movies? NEWS FLASH: Movies are NOT real.

All he does is guess. What a joke.

Couldn't agree more. This "doctor" is a disgrace to the profession. Its all about self-promotion with him, and he could care less how is "speculation/diagnosis" might hurt someone.

They, both, bedded down with questionable women.
Just one affair may hurt a marriage.
Let's not just blame these boys. They had the means to do what they wanted, but, money talks, and these women wanted something more than what they had.
Gotta hand it to Tiger, though. He, at least, bedded down some rather attractive gals. Jesse's gals were hard to see, let alone look at.

Who cares what Dr. Drew thinks, she will know what to do. All this guessing, has nothing to do with how she feels. Everybody can say now, they knew it all along, he is biker. That is buh humbug. Dr Drew is an idiot. He knows NOTHING about either marriage other than what he reads in the gossip columns, yet he offers his so called "expert" opinion anyway. No ethical professional would do that. Tiger probably cheated the day after he was married. So when exactly were he and Elin "very much in love?" He married her for the status and she married him for the money and fame, it seems. Both marriages are probably headed for divorce, thought it is really none of our business. I feel sorry for Woods' kids, and for Sandra Bullock, who seems to be a genuinely nice person.

I think I would have much rather heard from older married women then 3 20 yr olds who no jack about marriage and relationships.Trust me life experience racks more points then being in your 20s.I also don't believe that tiger woods wife as well as Sandra didn't know this was happening.Women always know.I think they both need help to find out why they thought this was going on and chose not to deal with it until it exploded in there faces.

Jesse James is just worried about his own career. He has TV shows and a business to think about. But he is one sick puppy to touch that skank with the tatoos and they (as a couple) have nothing now. If it was about sex, and Sandra said she like his sex, well I wouldn't want him after all this.

I am not picking on your post. But I grabbed my copy of the DSM-IV-TR after reading what you say. There is NO valid diagnosis for being "ADDICTED TO LOVE." While many paraphilias and addictions DO exist. There is not one for being addicted to sex or love. I expected as much concerning the "love" addiction, but was surprised by the lack of "sexual" addiction.
