James Van Der Beek's ex-wife will be getting a hefty monthly allowance, PEOPLE reports. The former 'Dawson's Creek' star will be paying Heather Ann McComb $7,750 per month until December 2012, according to the divorce settlement filed Monday in Los Angeles.This spousal support will supplement McComb's monthly income, which is only $1,750 compared to Van Der Beek's $35,000.
However, Van Der Beek's North Hollywood home, bank accounts, residuals from his acting work and rights to the projects he has created are all his.

In most cases today in Hollywood, marriage lasts about as long as the careers of these marginally talented people who get by on their looks...then, POOF!, except for the chosen few. Las Vegas ought to start makinng book on these "unions"
