With his marriage to Sandra Bullock in tatters and alleged mistresses coming out in every tabloid, Jesse James has checked himself into a treatment facility, PEOPLE exclusively reports.
"Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues," his rep said in a statement to the magazine. "He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage."
A source tells the mag that James checked in March 26 and it was "100 percent his own idea."
TMZ is reporting that James is a patient at Sierra Tucson, a drug, alcohol and sex addiction treatment center in Arizona.
A friend of the couple told RadarOnline.com exclusively, "He offered to go to the same rehab center that Tiger Woods went to if Sandra would support him and stick with him. She said 'no,' and that basically he's the scum of the earth." Bullock continues to live outside the family home.
The source added, "[Jesse] is trying to show her he wants to recover. Sandra is tough and does not take humiliation well. It will take a lot more than Jesse going for a week to some clinic for her to even take him seriously."

Somehow "rehab facility" - be it alcohol/mental/sexual - whatever - now appears to be the "thing to do when caught"!!!!! Couple of days here - a week there - gives the offender the stamp of social approval once more. EVERY time things get too hot - into a "treatment facility" they ALL go! I personally think it's time that accepting responsibility for one's actions should be the way to go.

If he really wants to prove something he should offer to sign a post nup no strings attached that she can keep all her money. That would be his only chance. Hopefully she'll leave him anyway =)
Sandra already has a pre-nup which gives Jesse NOTHING. He has no claim at all to anything she owns. Sandra also does NOT have any claim to anything Jesse owns. They keep their own property and do not mingle funds at all.
Rehab will work for Jesse if they have treatment for guys who like stanky drawers. Jesse listen up from a guy from "Pedro" only two towns away from miserable Long Beach. Dude you are a punk...nuff said.
I hope Sandra sticks by her guns. She is toooooo good for him, always was and always will be and what he did to her is unforgivable. She needs to divorce him and be rid of him. She has too much going for her to be brought down by the likes of him.
