Court Papers Allege Danger in Dennis Hopper's Home

Dennis Hopper and Victoria Hopper Divorce

According to legal documents filed by Dennis Hopper's assistant, the ailing actor's estranged wife Victoria is guilty of more than dirty divorce tactics -- the assistant alleges that Victoria tried to kill her husband. TMZ obtained the papers, which state that all members of Hopper's household, including his staff, were "at the mercy of [wife Victoria's] cruelty" when the actor was hospitalized last December. The assistant, Emily Davis, further claims that Hopper's wife "was trying to kill him."

Davis writes, "[Victoria] is a threat to all in the home and has already looted millions of [dollars in] property that is not hers."

Marin Hopper, the actor's daughter from a previous marriage, calls Victoria's behavior "frightening" and says that her step-mother is spreading "slanderous lies" to the media.

Additional court documents report that Hopper is too frail to undergo chemotherapy for prostate cancer and that the ongoing -- and increasingly nasty -- divorce battle with Victoria has drained his savings.

His attorney, Joseph Mannis, states in the filing -- obtained by TMZ -- that because Hopper is so terminally ill, he is unable to defend himself in divorce proceedings. "It is doubtful that Mr. Hopper will ever recover sufficiently to be subject to a deposition," one of the actor's doctors declared.

The document reportedly lists Hopper, 73, as weighing a little more than 100 pounds. In previous court filings, Hopper had expressed hope that chemo would improve his condition enough to work again.

The main contention with his wife of over 14 years is over the amount of spousal support he believes he can afford. In the legal documents, Hopper states he is capable of paying her $5,000 a month, but no more. Because he is unable to work, the actor's finances are stagnant and his accountant states his liquid assets total about $300,000.

I don't know these people, but as is normal operating proceedure in these things I am sure this report is true, usually these women who marry much older and of course richer men are just out for blood! this vampire, (hesitate to call her a lady) should be put in jail for bleeding this man to death and cruelty to elder and sick people? here in Florida where the laws are very strong I wager the courts might put this theif in jail for her husbands protection? in any case its very sad to see Dennis Hooper get so ill and frail, he was always such a great actor,he should have some dignity at the end of his life!!

I worked for 23 years in the probate/estate planning field, with mostly an over-65 clientele. This woman, whom I will not give the pleasure of calling her his "wife" (a real wife would never do this in her spouse's darkest hours), is a typical gold-digging floozy who wants to make sure she gets everything before he dies, so that his daughter/other family will get very little. She is not only screwing Mr. Hopper, but everyone related to him. This happened to my father as well, his ex-wife of only a few years, as soon as she found out he was terminally ill, went to the hospital and started courting him. Within a month, they remarried. When the cancer spread to his brain, she took him to an attorney and had his Will changed, leaving his three daughters NOTHING. Within six months of my father's death, this hateful woman had the nerve to contact us, trying to give us some of the real properties he owned, because she was delinquent in the notes on them. Fast-forward 23 years: She is now living with a daughter, doesn't have a pot to piss in, and I hope she dies a very slow painful death. BLACK WIDOWS get their just deserts, if not on this earth, then in their final judgment. PRAYERS TO YOU, Mr. Hopper, in your battle with cancer.

She has been married to him for FOURTEEN years...they have a child together...who I am sure she is trying to protect. This is not your father..read the facts ...sounds like his older daughter is the villain not the wife of fourteen years.

Please I believe that it is the daughter that is bringing up these false charges, I think that the wife is getting the raw end of the deal, the daughter Marin is the villian and she wants all of his money for herself and this is nothing but lies to make the wife look bad, i believe the daughter Marin is the one who is responsible for the divoice because she does not want to share

Agreed, as I was reading the story that was the first thing that came to my mind as well. A black widow Jew will kill her own spouse and or parents if there's enough money there.
