FBI Investigating Death Threats to Erin Andrews

'Dancing With the Stars' Erin Andrews has been the target of a string of threatening emails being investigated by the FBI, according to TMZ.

The website reports that threatening emails were sent as early as September and as recently as last week to 'The Dan Patrick Show.' One even read, "Somebody should shoot her in the face."

Andrews is said to be outraged that she had not found out about the threats until yesterday.

Andrews' lawyer, Marshall Grossman, said that Andrews will continue to appear on 'Dancing With the Stars' even if security has been beefed up. "Erin and her family are protected," Grossman's statement says. "It is unfortunate that there are sick people who prey on the fears and threaten the well being of others."

Grossman added that Andrews is "having a tough time" after hearing of the emails.

As of March, the violence levels began to increase in the emails. Many of the emails were sent during the criminal case of Erin's stalker.

What has Erin ever done to anyone to deserve this? Some pervert videos her naked and puts it on the internet and now someone wants to kill her. I am sure she was living a happy and simple life before all this. A lot of sick people in this world. That's for sure!

If I am not mistaking, I think Erin Andrews was a sports reporter where she interviewed male professional ball players in the mens' locker rooms. However, I agree the death threats she received was certainly uncalled for and she needs police protection. Yet I also think that only "male" reporters/interviewers should be allowed inside of male locker rooms and not women. If I was a professional at sports, I would feel caught off-guard if a male reporter came into the womens' locker room to interview me on camera while I was stark naked. Yikes! Privacy please.

I have sat back and watched this whole episode and have said nothing, but that's about to change. What MORON has got the nerve to threaten a woman who was not only stalked by a creep who snuck around in hotel lobbies and then was so desperate to get something on this woman that he stood outside her hotel room and took pictures of her through the peephole in her hotel room door. He is one sick individual and anyone who defends him should have the same thing done to them that he did to this woman. She did nothing to deserve this and no matter how he tries to justify it, he is a pervert, pure and simple. He says he is sorry, NO he is not, he is sorry he got CAUGHT.

Why threaten Erin Andrews? I think that she's a media hound looking for more attention, but that's no reason to threaten her. So what if she wants to do Dancing With The Stars? I'm one who's never been impressed with anyone who films someone through a peephole. She seems to attract the creepy degenerate type. If it wasn't for this peephole video, I doubt if anyone would know who Erin Andrews is. But we live in a "Look at me, I'm special" culture. Oh, well...

true, there's also the "cry wolf" wannabes who will say or do anything to keep their names or pics in public view..although in this particular case it's apparently legit about these threats she's receiving..if they have the emailsand say they know who it is, then authorities can stop this round of threats.. however it doesn't mean there won't be others..unfortunately there are many whackos out there....her laying low for a while won't stop the threats..nutjobs won't care if she lays low for months or still keeps up with her work schedulethey'll still continue to torment her with their *cat and mouse* BS..the authorities need to catch this creep or creeps now

I hope they catch this nut job. Erin just can't catch a break frist it was a perv who should have gotten more than just 2 years 27 months he should have gotten 10 to 20 years in jail. And now death threats which is sad for anyone that has to deal with that in public eye or not. This world has nut jobs that will do harm to others and oe kill.
