Jessica Simpson Tells Ladies Not to Change for Anyone

You can't keep a good woman down. At least not for long. Despite highly publicized breakups with Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo, singing bad boy John Mayer and ex-husband
Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson is still looking for her perfect man and is also not shy about sharing her opinions on how to get one, reports
Fox News.
"It's important for women not to find their confidence in a man. I think you really have to know who you are before you can truly fall in love and give your all, and I don't think a man can define you. You have to own that," said Simpson, the star of VH1's new series 'The Price of Beauty.' "So if you're ever with anyone who says you should change something about yourself then they should never fall in love with you in the first place."
Although Jessica has had a lot of professional success, she still puts a priority on relationships and the prospect of becoming a mother. "By ten years I would love to be a mom, I would love just to be in love and be a mom," said Simpson. "It sounds simple but it's a lot harder [than you think.] I'm pretty picky."
The seed for 'The Price of Beauty' was sewn after facing a mountain of scorn over her weight gain. "I personally needed it for myself after going through all the scrutiny I went through for gaining a couple of pounds. It was really hard on me and I felt I needed to find some light in the very dark place I was in," revealed Simpson.
"I realized that people's judgments about me and about my weight are really just none of my business, it's not something I should be listening to or taking to heart. People can say whatever they want to say and I cannot take it personally. I know it's the business I am in and I put myself in a position to be criticized, but I've found something that will help me deal."
Her series discovers different conceptions of beauty as defined by many cultures.
One of her most shocking discoveries was in a Ugandan fattening hut where women do their utmost to become "fat cows," almost the exact opposite of her treatment elsewhere in the world "The fatter you are the more beautiful. Brides-to-be go into these huts and gain up to 90 pounds," she exclaimed. "They just drink loads and loads of milk. They gain weight solely off of milk," she said. "These women want you to compare them to cows – they literally want to be called a fat cow. I've never heard of that in my life, and being able to live that with these women and to see them go through their routines was definitely shocking."
Living a life under the harsh glare of being a star has brought a lot of unwanted attention to her body but she still has pride in one often overlooked part. "I like my nose, that's my favorite body part," she said. "I do have a bump, but I like my profile - I don't think anyone else has my exact same nose, I think it's unique and a little flawed."
'Price of Beauty' airs on VH1.

Actually, I would say, if they don't like you as you are, DON'T screw 'em. ;)
I am glad to see Jessica do something most positive not only within herself but she's doing a fabulous job stating what we as women in general should always follow and that is to always love yourself. Sure we have flaws but to accept it and make a great life knowing that you accept yourself along with your flaws is amazing. Thumbs up for Jessica and to all the women in the world!
*side note: Men are beautiful creatures as well! I am in my mid 40's and in all in my years I don't think I've ever met a man who was unattractive.
Best wishes

Oh please. If she really meant this she wouldn't have been so upset when people scutinized her weight. Notice how she "lost 20 pounds and so can you"! PlEASE.

Then the same is true for men. We shouldn't have to change for anyone either, yet there's never been born a woman who could resist trying to change her man.

Jessica is a package deal. What more could a man ask for? If you need more than what she has, you don't need a woman. Always loved her always will. How could you not?

Yeah, but then she said: "Einstein's gravitational constant can be modified by virtual particle energy conversions through quantum wormholes causing electron-positron pairs cancellation." That's a turn off.
