Could Tiger Woods Be Looking To Recommit To Elin After the Masters?

It's not just the Masters that will be on Tiger Woods' mind when he talks to the press on Monday in Augusta. While the troubled golfer takes on reporters' questions -- all while looking to regain his stroke on the course -- Woods will also be focused on how to make amends to wife Elin. Now a source tells me the troubled golfer would like to renew his wedding vows after the tournament.

"Tiger knows this will be the most important event of his life. If he has any chance of winning back his fans, and more importantly sponsors, he has to play his best game ever. Then, to strike while the iron is hot, he plans on renewing his wedding vows and finally putting a period at the end of this horrid sentence in his life," an insider tells me.

And while it's true that the great American public is very forgiving and loves a winner, it's also true his European wife might be less understanding. Another source adds, "It might be good idea for his image to renew his wedding vows, but is it good for Elin?"

What he does is his business, and hers...not ours. Best of luck to them...but you people need to stop covering this as if it affects world peace and climate change. Let them work things out and land on their feet. But stop sensationalizing this. It's gone far past ridiculous as it is. I wish them the best for the future and hope for the best. End of story. They have enough to deal with on their own without you people sticking your noses and cameras where you have no business, no matter how much of a public figure he may be. You want your privacy. Let them have theirs.

how true. the media is always making the problem worse. not only with tiger; but, with everything. i can't sttand the media anymore.

I respectfully disagree. Tiger made millions upon millions based on his image. He was the bankable star and all the while was living a lifestyle which was opposed to his image. He put the image out there and collected the money. Now that he has been caught in the lie, we are supposed back off and let him retool his image again? No.

He invited the scrutiny when he signed for multi-million dollar endorsement contracts. He asked people to buy products because he is Tiger Woods and he endorsed the product. So the scrutiny ends because he wants it to? No. If he wants out of the public eye, he needs to walk away from the endorsements and probably golf for a while. He can't have the Tiger Corporation and no press. It does not work that way.

This is between Tiger and his wife. They deserve the same chance at privacy as the general public. I think they will stay together, I think they truly love each other. A renewal of their vows seems quite appropriate, it will geive them a new start. Give them a chance without the tabloids butting into their problems. She apparently loves him or she wouldn't still be there.

To kdcantley: he's already walked away from golf for awhile...and his millions were made from his golf game, which the endorsments came from initially. This really is none of our business at all, just as if it had happened to you. You'd have plenty to say if you'd been crucified by people who don't know you and haven't been there during the whole ordeal...I work in broadcasting and I think a lot of the media is totally out of control with tracking what he did and what she did and every little nuance and what this meant or what that meant. Just because this is the information age, it doesn't necessarily mean we need all that information. Again I say, you'd want YOUR privacy in a matter that had nothing to do with anyone except the people who were ACTUALLY involved. The world won't end if we don't hear any more about this....in other words, for God's sakes give it a rest. We've all heard more than enough about it.

kd- I agree with you. He is a billionaire because of an image. Of course he's a great golfer, he has had non stop training since he was 2. And now that we find out that he and his father made up a racial lie, which deeply affected a woman, I have no sympathy for him. Even if his father made the lie up, he was old enough to say "my dad lied" and apologize to the teacher. I don't expect an apology to the anglos, but just to the woman who was hurt.

He can do whatever he wants, but he should know that some of us are so disappointed in his entitled behavior that we will not patronize his sponsors. As far as I'm concerned, he is and always will be kryptonite. The hell with him. His father, God rest him, is probably rolling over in his grave.

Mark - singles add up. I won't patronize Tiger's sponsors either. I'm with "themeeker" and because so many of us are, the money does add up. Even if it didn't add up, those of us with standards would still boycott his sponsors.
