Returning to Vegas 'Nearly Crushed' Marie Osmond

Although Marie Osmond tried to return to the stage in Las Vegas just 11 days after the tragic death of her son, it nearly "crushed" her, a close friend of Osmond's tells me. After much soul searching, the star will be reaching out to help young people in trouble. Marie Osmond Tells Friends: 'I Will Survive'

After taking some much needed time off following the tragic death of her son, Marie Osmond has vowed to be back and stronger than ever, when she returns to Vegas later this month.

"The awful event and returning to Vegas so quickly nearly crushed Marie. No one will know how bad things were for her. Now, after much soul searching and many conversations with family and God, Marie will survive," a friend of Osmond's tells me.

The friend says that things will never be the same for Marie though. "Now Marie has an even greater understanding of how precious life is and plans to live life to its fullest while privately, out of the public spotlight, doing everything she can to help young people in trouble."

Adam Lambert's Thoughts on Ricky Martin Coming Out

Adam Lambert is privately asking friends, "What took Ricky so long to admit he is gay?"

Apparently, Adam couldn't imagine "bearing your soul on stage when everything you were singing was a lie," a music insider tells me. "It's not just Ricky Martin that bugs him, but all the other gay artists who sing about love and romance with girls and then go and kiss other men."

Adam was the only artist that told the truth about his sexuality at the peak of his success. Elton John, Lance Bass and now Ricky all came out after they had made millions. Oh well, better late than never.

Erin Andrews Gets Extra Security at 'Dancing With The Stars'

The judges won't be the only one watching Erin Andrews carefully when she takes to the 'Dancing With the Stars' dance floor Monday night.

Sources tell me that extra security will be "all over" the ballroom after the recent threats made against Erin. "No one is taking any chances. This is very serious and security, not the quality of the Cha Cha Cha, is our number one priority," a show insider tells me.

"Erin knows about the extra measures, but not every detail. It would be far too distracting and frightening for her. She just wants to focus on her dancing, although under all this pressure that might be impossible."

Erin, hats off to you. You are grace under pressure.

First: If Marie Osmond was really "crushed" she would have given up her career and devoted the rest of her life to campaigning for gay rights.
Second: Who cares about Tiger Woods? I don't, he is a female predator who lies and cheats and furthurmore, do you really think any golf course where he plays at will allow anybody who is anti-Tiger?
Third: Some women are attracted to bad boys which appears to fit for Sandra. Any guy who has a chopper shop and covered with tatts, has ex-wives and kids; well, that would be a bad choice for first husband.

1) I had not heard that Marie Osmond's son was gay - but I do wish Marie would stop focusing on her career so much and put that much hard work in spending more time with her children. I am not judging but it is obvious that Marie is trying to be super woman and trying to make the rest of us think she is perfect and always has a smile on her face. I wish she would relax and take time off and enjoy life instead of trying to be everything to everyone! I do pray for all of the Osmonds in relation to the loved ones they have lost. My deepest sympathy.

I see some don't think a child being Gay or Transsexual is not or can not be depressing in this stupid society. Many of our child are and take their life because society will not accept them because they say it is sinful and wrong. Many of these child are beaten or killed because they are. I know I'm Transsexual and grew up in the 50's and tried or thought of taking my life because of society's lack of understanding and their fear of me.All I ever wanted is to live me life in peace and happy. Is that really too much to ask?

1. Marie shouldn't have to quit her job - she has other children to support.
2. How you do intend for the Golf Course Management to weed through anti-tiger people? it's not like they'll be carrying signs.

Adam's reaction to Ricky Martin finally announcing he is gay is not shocking. Adam is honest and had no plan on living a lie like some artists. He just can't relate to the dishonesty.

Excuse me? Adam did NOT admit being gay at the PEAK of his success, he did it at the beginning, at the end of the Idol series, before the Idol Tour and long before his first album or public performance. He did not deny it during Idol either but the contestants were not allowed to talk to the press then.

Adam will reach his peak in the future with the world knowing he is a gay man and that is part of who he is.
