Tiger Woods Wins, Press Loses at Masters Interview

Was anyone else terribly bored during the Tiger Woods' press conference today?

For the first time in five months reporters were allowed to grill Woods in what was supposed to be a no holds barred presser. But it seems like the folks asking the questions were afraid to ask the really tough queries, the kind that would get the answers that Americans really and truly want from Tiger.

Nary a mention was made of the more than 16 women that Tiger allegedly had affairs with. No one asked him why he hasn't apologized to the women, whether he has had any contact with them or why he was so reckless by having unprotected sex with so many different partners. Mistress and porn star Joslyn James gave her own interview this morning on the Howard Stern show where she once again alleged that she had become pregnant twice while she was with Tiger, once having a miscarriage and once having an abortion. No one at the press conference bothered to ask Tiger about whether he knew that his girlfriend had aborted his child.

Watching the press conference from the Friars Club in NYC on Monday afternoon, James called the presser,"a big mularkey." James again said she deserved an apology from Woods. "We all deserve an apology," James said of herself and the other mistresses.

Tiger has failed to mention these women as anything other than his transgressions. Unfortunately the press took his cue and also failed to mention these women by name.

Tiger has consumed a lot more humble pie since the last time he got in front of the press and delivered his canned statement last month. Today in Augusta, he seemed downright relaxed, pleasant and happy to engage reporters.

"Woods was having a conversation. He was natural. He was open, truthful and admitted his wrong doings, but was not afraid to show firmness such as when he was asked whether the fact that his wife was not attending the event meant that he should not be playing so soon. He said 'I decided to play' in a very quick and firm manner, with healthy dose of rigidity and resolve in his upper body and facial muscles," explains body language expert Vincent Harris. "There was nothing about his body language that was anything but congruent and in line with the statements he was making. Eye contact was good; he only looked down from time to time to collect his thoughts, very normal and conversational."

And he was willing to answer questions on controversial subjects. He addressed his usage of Vicodin and Ambien. He said he has never used illegal drugs. He admitted that Elin will not be coming to the Masters. So why was the press so scared to ask him about the really juicy stuff?

So yes this presser was a triumph for Tiger and a big fat fail for the press. Even when Tiger lifts the veil a little and strips away the boundaries, the press still seems so starstruck by the opportunity to get to ask Tiger real live questions that they don't bother to ask the good ones.

Pay them no attention TIGER did they not know you were married when they slept with you and did they appoligize to your wife for sleeping with you. If she truley were pregnant I really think she would have kept the baby to get your money not abort it and expect an appolgy. Sorry Tiger but Michael Jackson is now deceased looks like your the next tabloid hit.

Tiger is a disgrace to real men. Saying he was sorry, blah, blah, blah, He knew what he was doing and thought he could sneak around and get away with it. He should never be trusted again and should be banned from ever playing again. Players in other sports have been banned for less. What makes him so special? Half black? Afraid to be called racist?

She has got to be the most hypocritical "advocate for women" I've ever witnessed!!! To sit at a press conference next to a porn star stripper, while she says that her married man owes her an apology, is friggin OUTLANDISH!!! Them hoes need to get lost in obscurity because the world is on its way to forgiving Tiger and filing his act where the rest of the cheaters go, right in the STUPIDITY FILE....next!!! lol
