Not since Susan Boyle opened her mouth and surprised a global audience with her dulcet tones has there been such a talent as Lin Yu Chun, a contestant on a Taiwanese talent show called 'Super Star Avenue,' which is much like 'American Idol'. Chun destroys all preconceived notions with a powerhouse delivery of Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' that's sure to give you chills. And with Whitney's current illness, there's certainly an opening in the music world for a successor to the ballad throne. Watch his audition and forward to the 1:10 mark (via VideoGum):

As for the person who said how do we know he's a boy. That was idiotic to say. He has a beautiful voice and i think he will go far.

Well, given the Chinese record for deceit, cheating, and lieing, who can be sure WHAT this kid really is or if "he" is even male.

The kid is from Taiwan, not from China that cheats, lies. You idiot.
GREAT!!! How old is he?

It's kind of creepy how he sounds like her, when he's Chinese. I wonder if he speaks english at all, other then singing it. If he came to America Im sure he would do very well as an artist.

What makes you think he cant do very well in Taiwan or China?
The guy is excellent no matter what gender or nationality he/she is....but no one that I know of sings that song better than Whitney Houston....(hands down)....Dolly made it popular and it's been done by lots of people.....but Whitney nailed it right on.....so sexy and brilliantly (her timing was perfect)....besides I fantasize about her singing it to me...(lol)...just doesn't work with the guy...lol..!!! (Cosner you dog....I've been so jealous since "The Bodyguard") I wish Whitney the very best....!!

Yes, his rendering of the Whitney Houston song is amazing. However, there's something freaky about a teenage boy sounding just like Whitney Houston. Don't think there would be many jobs for male Whitney Houston impersonators. If he did drag, he'd look like Margaret Cho doing a Whitney Houston impersonation. The kid's voice is wonderful. He should start taking vocal lessons -- his pitch was all over the place in spots -- to train his voice. Then he should start singing guy's songs. Betcha he'd make it. He's very talented, just misguided in his choice of music.

a gifted young man. But to the best of my knowledge, most people don't even want to hear Houston's rendition any more. If he would like to cover more of her songs I'd suggest the magnificent "Miracle", "Lover for Life" or "Just the Lonely Talking Again".

It is seldom that singers sing as good as the original. Most shouldn't even try. This guy pulled it off, I bet Whitney is even impressed.

Phenomenal, beautiful, he voice brought tears to my eyes. That's one of those gifts from God. You can't be taught to sing like that.

Actually this is Dolly Parton's beautiful song and she is earning royalties every time this song is sung. Dolly Parton wrote this song to Porter Wagner when they parted ways in the Grand Ol Opry in Nashvillw TN. Whitney made it popular by singing it in the movie the Bodyguard. Dolly Parton has written many songs including songs for Elvis. Yes, this boy has an excellent voice, he should be singing NEW songs. People who copy will never be big. You have to take a song and make it your own.

What about Celine.....all three are great....really is just personal preference.
good, but no one will ever sing that song like Whitney did back in the day..

No way did he sound anyway close to Whitney, he was straining and singing from his throat and not his diaphram a real singer does not sing from his throat in addition his voice was enhanced, let him sing it with no music then I might listen.
