Diddy's Three-Night Vegas Bash for His Son's 12th: The Full-Bling Breakdown

Sean "
Diddy" Combs' birthday bash for his 12-year-old son was more than one party in Vegas.
PopEater readers passionately discussed the first night of festivities when we wrote about it over the past weekend. But PopEater has since learned there was much more to the Vegas birthday bash. The celebration was a three-night extravaganza for Diddy's son, Christian, and a group of famous offspring at the Palms Casino & Resort.
From the moment Diddy pulled up in the tour bus, it was a birthday party that would even wow a guy worth $348 million (much less a preteen). Great party for a 12-year-old or too much, too soon? You decide.
The group stayed in the
Hardwood Suite of the Palms Casino resort -- a suite which is listed at $25,000 a night -- from Thursday to Sunday morning. The 10,000-square-foot suite comes with a half-court basketball set-up complete with professional scoreboard and locker room. According to a source familiar with the party, a referee was on hand to oversee the games played over the weekend.
The Hardwood also features plasma televisions in every room and an over-sized jacuzzi tub in the main room. It has beds that are a foot longer than normal to accommodate its usual NBA-star clientele, who generally use the place. (Justin Timberlake, however, did not really need the extra headroom when he stayed there.)
Each of the kids received personalized NBA jerseys with their names placed over their favorite player's number.
On Thursday, Diddy gave a toast to his son over dinner at Lavo Italian Restaurant inside the Palazzo Hotel. The guests -- who included Tyson Beckford's son, Jordan, Faith Evans' son, Josh, and Master P's son, Hercy -- toasted with Shirley Temples. Retail price for the meal was $2,500. This included the three-tier custom cake ($500) from trendy Gimme Some Sugar, which featured various personalized items near to Christian's heart -- such as the New York Yankees.
The group also visited the Palms' movie theater to see 'Clash of the Titans.' The festivities finished with a special Easter brunch in the suite.
We're not saying Diddy payed full retail, but there's some serious birthday bling here.

What 12 year old wouldn't love a party like that? I think it's way too much but I only got to go to Disneyland so what do I know? This kid is going to have nothing to look forward to except daddy (I mean Diddy) buying him more and more and more. How will he learn to work for wants and desires?

***WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO AT 13????****
For my 12th birthday I just got "happy birthday". I was thrilled with just that and I turned out fine. Take note, Diddy.
It's hard to read about this kind of thing when I have worked my butt off my whole life and am struggling to make ends meet. Car repairs etc. Happy for his kid but man it seems like such a waste. Will Diddy adopt me???

someone named "karen sanders" repairs cars?
To : Shawanda Y es as opposed to ??? going on Maury?
He could have done much better for his son and helped those in need by having a normal child's b-day party and donating the difference to Haiti relief. Instead, the child is spoiled while the kids in Haiti go hungry. Why don't you write about that?

look, the kid may be a pimp jr but that doesn't mean he's spoiled. diddy wouldn't stand for back talk and he has a good work ethic that his son may be learning. don't judge those less or more fortunate
He has donated to Haiti. What about the people here? We have so many people out of work, some without homes, we should start taking care of our own instead of taking care of others.
You sound like a fool!!! He allready gave money to the Haiti foundation, more than you ever will! That's why you are probally broke, worry about your money and how you spend yours. It kills me when people try to tell people how to spend the money "They" worked hard for no matter how much it is! What a bunch of loosers......
Don't hate and say that he should be feeding kids in Haiti. Ever watch the MTV series Sweet 16? Many of us spoil our children and spend more on them than we should. It's the economy of scale.

i feel like he would get beat up if he didn't have an awesome birthday...did you see his friends? it's expected...it's like someone from the upper east side not going to a prep school= social pariah
Hey,
It is, what it IS. We are all spoiled and therefore we spoil our love ones; however we should also instill respect, and sincere appreciation for our many blessings. As parents we do go over board, but the joy, excitement, and the heartfelt memories make it all worth it.
Question: Was this the party his handsome son wanted OR was the party for Diddy :-)?

Hey Diddy,I'll be your loving son anytime. I don't even want the cake, just the notoriety.
Your other loving son,

12 year old CHILDREN don't 'party' like adults do and to think they are entitled to do so is absurd. furthermore, in this instance there IS NO ADULT within this family dynamic...so who exactly is steering this out of control freight train??

No one wins when a child is spoiled like this. He just ends up paying for it in the end.
