Jane Fonda 'Not Proud' of Plastic Surgery

Legendary actress Jane Fonda feels great about her appearance, but admits she's "not proud" that she gave in to pressure to have plastic surgery. Fonda swore she'd had enough work done in 2000 -- and according to the Huffington Post, Fonda told Larry King on Monday night, "If I was really brave, I would have not. I vowed I wouldn't -- I did, and I don't feel proud of it." WATCH:

Fonda has been upfront about her recent surgeries, posting on her own blog in February: "This year I got tired of not looking like how I feel and I wanted a more refined chin line like I used to have, so I changed my mind. I'm still a little swollen but not much and what pleases me is that I won't looked pulled or weird... or tired all the time ... I wish I'd been brave enough to not do anything but, instead, I chose to be a somewhat more glamorous grandma."

Fonda, 72, told King that she purposely left some of her wrinkles alone, for a more natural look. "I like my crow's feet and I like my little laugh lines. It was just the little jowls away, that's all.

"I didn't want to lie about it. I'm writing a book about getting older, so I had to admit it," she said. "I feel so good. I'm so happy."

She went over there and took publicity pictures with the enemy. It is ok to be against something and what was needed is to get involve here in the US, but she dicided to go over there with the enemy for her own gains. I lived through that, you had to be there to truely understand the situation.

You still don't get it do you many was against the war but how many went there and saw to it that our boys in POW camps where beat and killed because of her, and by the way the south Nam gov invited us there to help train their troups then we was sucked into it. Hanoi Jane may she rot in hell

She will always be Hanoi Jane and a face that our country doesn't need to see, whether she has had plastic surgery or not. She is ashamed of the plastic surgery? That should be the least thing she should be ashamed of. Being Hanoi Jane would be the first, then all the movies she made would be the second. She is riding on mom and dad's coattails. She is not even a good B rated movie actress. She should move to Vietnam and give up her citizenship to our country.

Her Dad told her she would be sorry for the Vietnam War Insults to the American troops. Hanoi Jane just wants people to stop looking back & forget it & forgive it. Americans from that era have memories like elephants. There will be no forgiving or forgetting because the soldiers that made it home she helped to be mistreated & trashed good men for doing their duty that they had no choice in.

I think most aging women who develop saggy jowls would love to have the same surgery, if they could afford it. You don't need an entire face lift to get rid of jawline sagging and just that procedure alone can make a huge difference in your appearance. Why not do it if you can afford it, if it makes you feel better

I couldn't believe Jane Fonda drilled Larry King about his marriages b/c he asked her some personal questions. What a manipulator and poor sport. She shouldn't agree to be on the program if she can't take the heat. She knows the deal. And no, most of us will never forget her part in Vietnam no matter how she tries to put the spin on it. Larry King shouldn't give her the time of day. Ratings that bad?

Fonda has been trying to use plastic surgery to disguise herself so she isn't recognized as Hanoi Jane. It won't work becasue veterans like me will always know her.

Jane Fonda has always been beautiful. We're about the same age, but she always looked better than I :)). An actress, especially, should do what she thinks is right for her appearance & her career. She's still got that great Fonda "look". My favorite role of hers was in "Julia". She & Vanessa Redgrave were magnificent together.

if you're happy w/your looks, then by all means avoid going under the knife, however, some of us want to look refreshed as we age. I've done it twice & plan another "tweak" nxt year. I know exactly how Fonda feels. Those of us who can afford it & want it "just do it" as Nike says!

My daughter visited Viet Nam last year and loved the country but was horrified as she learned more about the war that almost cost one of her uncles his life. (She was born in the USA but raised from a todler in Canada.) After she wondered "how American could hold their head up after visiting the war museum there" I told her about the huge protest by the American people that ultimately stopped the Viet Nam War. Jane herself regrets some of her actions. But she got it early that it was wrong and immoral to be there. Screw plstic surgery debates, there are things to realy be concerned about in life. Like the fact that the USA has not learned the lessons of war in these times - there is no such thing as winning. It is a lose -lose senario. Canada also is losing our soldiers in Afganistan. The only winners are the ones making money selling weapons. Sad peoples.

I was kind of hoping the surgery would be botched. Or better yet she'd stop over a friend's house and have her face torn off by a pet chimp. That would be sweet.
