Jane Fonda 'Not Proud' of Plastic Surgery

Legendary actress Jane Fonda feels great about her appearance, but admits she's "not proud" that she gave in to pressure to have plastic surgery. Fonda swore she'd had enough work done in 2000 -- and according to the Huffington Post, Fonda told Larry King on Monday night, "If I was really brave, I would have not. I vowed I wouldn't -- I did, and I don't feel proud of it." WATCH:

Fonda has been upfront about her recent surgeries, posting on her own blog in February: "This year I got tired of not looking like how I feel and I wanted a more refined chin line like I used to have, so I changed my mind. I'm still a little swollen but not much and what pleases me is that I won't looked pulled or weird... or tired all the time ... I wish I'd been brave enough to not do anything but, instead, I chose to be a somewhat more glamorous grandma."

Fonda, 72, told King that she purposely left some of her wrinkles alone, for a more natural look. "I like my crow's feet and I like my little laugh lines. It was just the little jowls away, that's all.

"I didn't want to lie about it. I'm writing a book about getting older, so I had to admit it," she said. "I feel so good. I'm so happy."

I don't care that she had plastic surgery. I've had it done as a corrective surgery and if I had the money I'd get myself some more. To hell with growing old gracefully. If you acn look better without going overboard like some people have I say why not. As for the whole Hanoi Jane crap. So she against the war. So was I, same as I'm against the war we're in now. Ooh, I'm a traitor.

Who cares If I had her cash Id be making myself look brand new besides hollywood stays forever young I dun think people wanna see a actress that looks like the bus & everything else has ram her over.shes a disgrace as american wont be the first or last time some idiot didnt shame our country troops or people look at obama when that idiot nut hugo chavez the dictator handed obama a book dising us and he took it rather then telling him where to stick it..but the other question should be asked did she get work else where hehehe

Send Hanoi Jane back to North Viet-Nam. She is nothing but a traitor and shouldn`t be allowed to live in the U.S. She enjoys the rights that so many died for and thoses who survived the war but never had a normal life. Just as she said, she didn't want to look "pulled" or strange -- and she doesn't. She looks attractive, and now her face probaby better matches her mindset, which is youthful and peppy. People take advantage of technology of all sorts and acquire many luxuries (if they can), so why not to make ourselves look a little less saggy and droopy in our older years? As one other contributor mentioned, women (and men sometimes) spend big bucks on facials, creams, etc. It's all a poor barometer of character.

Jane Fonda doesn't look her age now, but what difference does that make to the life she has led? She is still older than dirt and was born of wealth and power when she became an activist against our country's war in Viet Nam. I didn't mind that as much as her traitorism, like she lost relatives there. Okay, the war destroyed my then husband who came home a killer/warrior and I have no love for the war. But I would not go onto enemy soil and condemn my country. Like she did. I don't want to look at her regardless of her surgery.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SHE NEVER EVEN CAME TO TRIAL FOR BEING A WARTIME TRAITOR...ANYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD A LONG TIME NOW. SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO RETURN TO THE USA, UNLESS IT WERE FOR TRIAL. SHE WILL ALWAYS LOOK LIKE A DESPICABLE OLD CRONE TO ME.
