No Corey Haim Public Memorial, Announces Feldman

Corey Feldman has taken to his
blog to announce the cancellation of a public memorial service for his best friend, Corey Haim, who passed away in early March.
Feldman, who starred alongside Haim in eight films, including 'The Lost Boys' and 'Dream a Little Dream,' writes, "Now I must be the bearer of some very disappointing news to many of you out there. After weeks of consideration and planning, the ultimate decision has been made by Corey's mother Judy Haim to not go forward with a public memorial service. Instead we will have a very small private dinner with just a few close friends in LA."
Feldman, who called his 'The Two Coreys' co-star "A wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family and best friend" in a statement issued by his publicist following Haim's death, cites Judy Haim's "tremendous grief" over her son's passing as the reason for canceling the public service, asking friends and fans to instead show their support on Corey's
Web site.
Of his decision, he says, "Although I am very sad I am not able to plan the memorial I had envisioned, which would have given both his friends and fans an opportunity to grieve together as one, I must respect the wishes of his mother, and help her in any way I can through this difficult time. Ultimately that is what Corey would have wanted more than anything. To know that his mother is at peace as much as possible in his absence."

Why oh why does it take so long to put these people to rest. For gods sake, the guy was a drug addict and overdosed. Let's move on!

amen to that!!!
If they invited everyone who was there for him while he was alive, Mrs. Haim would spend the night alone.
I think its awesome that Corey Feldman is being there for Coreys mom. He was a good fiend that tried desperately tried to help Corey but one can only do so much. Corey Felmman is a standup guy and should be an example to all of us.

It's great that Feldman is there for Haim's mom.. she really needs that. I'm glad they decided not to do the public memorial. It would be too hard to see for many people. Rest In Peace, Corey Haim

I am replying to one of the guys above, it is true, Corey Feldman
only do so much and I grew up on both those guys and I will miss
Corey Haim and my prayers go out to his mom, Corey F. and his
wife.
God Rest his Soul - he is now at peace
I think it is wonderful for Corey Feldman to respect Corey's mother wishes about her son. I send out prayers to the family. Corey Haim will be missed.

He is dead and burried. There is no reason to continue memorials.
There were 200 people at his funeral. If someone in the industry wanted to say good-bye, they could have/or may have been there to that.

Oh please give me a break. Haim was not popular enough to warrant a public memorial service. Plus he has been already buried in Canada. Feldman is just wanting the attention. He chose not to go to the memorial service in Canada because Haim mother did not want the media attention. So now Feldman is wanting to get more attention. Period. Time to move on.

I met Feldman about 2 years ago. Let's just say it wasn't the best moment of my life. He was being self serving and rude, not only to the celebrity I was working with at the time, but to the fans who had stood in line for an hour to get his autograph, while Feldman just waltzed up to the front of the line, bold as hell. When he told the celebrity his name....I almost fell over when Dave said....WHO? My son, who was also working the fan lines, came THIS close to telling Dave....Dave, Mr. Feldman used to be somebody. People, let's move on and leave both Corey's behind.

Love Corey Feldman, all the haters can say whatever they want but he truly loved his friend Corey Haim and I'm sure will forever miss him and what will never be. It's amazing how everyone can judge that don't even know these people or what their thoughts, feelings are. I'd love to see all the skeletons in all your closets who have so much to say. Ahh silence!!

Corey Feldman has always been a self-serving jerk. He could have still held a Memorial but I think the situation is like this "Corey F. doesn't wanna pay for anything, As all the Alimony & Child Support he pays, Corey is probably pretty broke.
He has an excuse for everything he does unless he is getting something from it. Besides Corey Haim was always much much better looking and WAY bette Actor then Corey F. will ever be.
All I can say is Let Corey Haim Rest in Peace now. As he is amongs his Real Family and Mom where she can visit him everyday.
And bet cha Corey F. will never visit them.
Remember it might draw to much attention and there could be a Media Frenzy "Oh Wow" We wouldn't want that.
I will always remember Corey Haim and his silly movies.
And I don't need Corey Feldman to talk about it anymore cause as far as I am concerned Corey F. is just a joke anyway.

Why does anyone say rest in peace? He's probably in hell where he belongs and Feldman is a nobody just trying to get another fifteen minutes of fame on the coat-tails of his dead friend. I am sick of all the crap everyone keep spurting out about these stupid addicted idiots that can't say no to anything. Just leave it be. They are just nobodies, going nowhere. 95% of California is addicted to something. Good riddance to bad rubbish! Keeps the population down anyway!

Actors that are has been people don't really care anymore. They enjoyed their days in the movies and move on to the next new fresh meat. If we all watch this actors go down with all the alcohol and drugs they do, do you all think we are some what liable for their falling down? We watch them on television and movies, we admire them, we see them grow up. Now that they are loosers we just turn our backs and call them stupid and so on. just asking?

Hmmmmm.....according to "Exhausted", 95% of California is "addicted to something". Really? Met any of us lately...you know, the REAL people of California? I don't live in a mansion, I don't live at the beach, I'm not addicted to drugs, I don't smoke or drink either. I just happen to live in California Don't lump us all together without facts. If you were brave enough to tell us where YOU live, I'm sure we could find something negative to say about there too. Jeez. Get a life.
