The Jonas Brothers are lending their squeaky-clean image to a worthwhile cause (and no, it's not abstinence). The trio has teamed up with TOMS Shoes for 'One Day Without Shoes,' an event designed to highlight the struggles of individuals who go barefoot on a daily basis.
TOMS, a footwear company founded by former 'Amazing Race' contestant Blake Mycoskie, donates one pair of shoes to a child in a developing country for every pair of shoes sold.
The 'One Day Without Shoes' event, which takes place today, Thursday, April 8, asks individuals to spend a part, or all, of their day barefoot in an attempt to better understand the difficulty of performing everyday tasks without proper footwear.
Kevin, Nick and Joe teamed up for a PSA, in which they urge viewers to participate and visit the One Day Without Shoes Web site to register for the event.
The Jo Bros aren't the only ones getting in on the action -- Joe Jonas' girlfriend, Demi Lovato, posted the following photo of her feet, on which she has written "hard without shoes," on her Twitter account:
I think it's a good cause what there doing. If Celebs want to buy designer shoes I don't care it's there money they can spend it anyway they want to you act like it isn't there money and you think it's your money you shouldn't get worked up over this. Your wrong David S.
I think it's a good cause what the Celebs are doing today taking there shoes off and anyone that is doing it even if it's just a few hours without shoes still is good. I will not wear shoes for a few hours tonight.
While i think it's great for everyone to join up with Toms, i think it's funny the way the jonas brothers seem to copy everything Hanson does. Hanson hosts one mile barefoot walks before EACH of their concerts, and have been teamed up with Toms for YEARS.
Here is a news flash for everyone that thins JB copied off Hanson. Hanson did not invent Tom shoes there for JB is not copying off of them. Everyone is getting involved with Toms so what is the big deal? I'm glad more people are getting involved because that means more people will buy them and more kids will get shoes. Isn't that what this is all about? Or did I miss something somewhere? Chill people, anyways it was a great day yesterday and the walks that were held were even more amazing with all the people that showed up barefoot.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos
