Eerily, the recording seems to scold the golfer -- from beyond the grave. "I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. Did you learn anything?" Earl asks, as the camera moves closer to Tiger. Watch the commercial Nike revealed before the Masters here:The 30-second spot began airing Wednesday on ESPN and the Golf Channel. Nike is among the only companies to continue their relationship with Woods in the wake of his sex scandal. Tag Heuer, Accenture, Gillette, AT&T and Gatorade have cut ties with the golfer.
"We support Tiger and his family. As he returns to competitive golf, the ad addresses his time away from the game using the powerful words of his father," Nike officials said in a statement obtained by the NY Daily News.
Nike officials said the ad will only run until 4PM Wednesday.

If Tiger Woods Father was black and Tiger respected him so much then why did Tiger on numerous occasions deny he himself was black? Guess that meant he was ashamed of who he was and who his Father was. Shame on you Tiger.
Reply
Because he's not just black. He's a mixture of several different ethnicities and he wanted to acknowledge that.
Besides, the media is the one making him "choose". Of course he's proud of his mixed culture. He just didn't want the media, like school applications, to force him to be one or the other.
Tiger's Dad cheated on his wife. So whsts the point. Give me a break Nike.

This ad will make me avoid anything "Nike."

Your being judgemental and I doubt that you have anything Nike to begin with. Boycotting is dumb and stupid.
like they really care about your two dollars....Nike will make millions more because nobody cares about who screwed whom...except you and 5 other idiots...and you are broke. Tiger is still rich
I'm sick of seeing this guy. So now Nike's trying to do what? Make money off of what? Creepy indeed. No more Nike products, thank you. Let's see what John Daly is up to.

Your being judgemental and your wrong as well. It's dumb and stupid to boycott. I like Nike and I will keep buying nike as they have great shoes and good clothes as well. Just like I will root for Tiger no matter what.
This IS, kind of CREEPY! Woods is way over the top with this. Nike is a fav of mine, but this is just way to much. Guess all this stuff with Woods will go on forever.BOREING!!!

Although I find the ad oddly powerful, it hasn't turned me around on Nike OR Tiger Woods.

I feel badly that Tiger has the whole world focused in on his private life, how many husbands/wives cheat on each other? It's painful enough to go through much less add the world's judgement on top of it. He's famous, good looking and not the only one who's doing it. I think it was wrong, but who are we to judge him? We must live our own lives to what is right and wrong. Hopefully he has learned what it is that's important in his life.
Reply
The only ones he owes any explanation to is his family. Us he owes a great game of golf. Who are we to judge anyone, none of us are perfect
This is an outrage Nike should be ashamed they took bits and pieces of Earl Woods memo to his son on his gole game and put them together like he was talking to his son How ludicrous and how like robbing the grave for a buck. And to think of it Tiger approved of this ad discussing
Reply
Like father, like son. Period.

I think the ad is good and is powerful. I will root for Tiger Woods as I always have. I like Nike as I have always like Nike so I will buy no matter what.
Reply
What am I wrong about? It's dumb and stupid to buy anything just because it has a certain logo on it. It's also dumb and stupid to root for anyone "no matter what". Are you Tiger or do you work for Nike?
Reply
Your wrong end of story. I don't work for Tiger or Nike I have always been a fan of Tiger thats why I root for him and plus he's a great golfer what he did was wrong but I'm not going to judge him on his wrongs as we all make mistakes. Your judging Ben and that's wrong I don't think it's dumb or stupid to like brands I have always like Nike and if I like something I will buy it or wait if I don't need it.
You know all you people need to get off of your high horse he is a normal human being that makes mistakes so what like im sure none of you who think this ad with nike is creeppy never did anything wrong yeah right like i said get off your high horse the man said he was sorry its not up to any of us its up to his FAMILY thats who gets to be on the HIGH HORSE. And thats all I have to say about it let the man play golf and do what he does best!!!!!
Reply
Heh all of you who are offended, get off of your high horse the only person or persons that have that right is Tigers Wife and Mother and the kids when they will be able to. Its not up to us to judge Its like none of you people that are doing the judging ever do anything wrong!!!!! The man said he was sorry and that is up to his wife to forgive not the whole world he said he was sorry to all the children and I for one believe him So like I said get off your HIGH HORSE PEOPLE thers only room there for ELIN WOODS Let the man do what he does best PLAY GOLF?????

Nicely done, Nike. Simple, elegant and to the point. Oh people, get a grip!!! It's isn't about his color, it's about having fame and forture go to his head, lack of good judgement and self discipline. Nobody is perfect. And he's human just like the rest of us. We've all screwed up and made poor choices. What's important is that we learn from them. For us, the public and his fans it's about his golf game. And the rest is between him, his wife and his maker. When are we going to stop minding everyone else's business......
