Oprah Announces New Primetime Show Called 'Oprah's Next Chapter'

Don't worry, Oprah isn't going anywhere. Although she's giving up her daytime program, the queen of talk will host a new evening show on her network -- OWN,
The Wall Street Journal reports.
The Oprah Winfrey Network made the announcement today. The new series will be an hour long show titled 'Oprah's Next Chapter' and is set to debut sometime in 2011.
Part of what Winfrey will be doing is traveling outside the studio, to places like Egypt and China. "I'm going to take viewers with me, going to take celebrities I want to interview with me," she said. A statement from the network read that Oprah will be "getting untethered from the chairs, opening up her world and taking you with her,"
PEOPLE reports.
'Chapter' will feature "riveting conversations with the people we all want to hear from, in some very unexpected places."
Other new programs that will appear on the network include 'Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind,' which showcases celebrities such Lady Gaga and James Cameron and a reality series following country superstar Shania Twain called 'Why Not? With Shania Twain.' And of course, Oprah's BFF Gayle King has her own 'Gayle King Live!'
Winfrey even has reality super-producer Mark Burnett on board for 'Your Own Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star.'
Last November, Oprah tearfully told her faithful audience that in 2011, 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' will go off the air.
"Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit," she said at the time.

I think that Oprah Winfrey is a fantastic woman. I have always admired her, particularly as a role model for women 10-100 years old. I haven't always liked her choice in guests, nor especially, the screaming audiences, though. Hopefully her new format will exclude all the noise. I wish her luck & will be tuning in.

Must be a terrible thing jealousy. i'm sure Oprah could give a damn about what you think or feel about her. I love her and she is awesome. I would be honored to have her as my friend. Even if she was the smallest star in the sky she still brings the most light to the world. love you Oprah.. You go girl.
