Video: Reactions to the New Tiger Woods Commercial

When we saw the new Tiger Woods Nike advertisement, featuring his deceased father eerily speaking "to" him about his adultery scandal(s), we had no choice but to share this possibly brilliant, possibly harebrained video with unsuspecting people in New York City.

The 30-second spot began airing Wednesday on ESPN and the Golf Channel. Nike is among the only companies to continue their relationship with Woods in the wake of his sex scandal. Tag Heuer, Accenture, Gillette, AT&T and Gatorade have cut ties with the golfer.

"We support Tiger and his family. As he returns to competitive golf, the ad addresses his time away from the game using the powerful words of his father," Nike officials said in a statement obtained by the NY Daily News.

Nike officials said the ad will only run until 4PM Wednesday. The commercial has already birthed a host of parodies, which PopEater has handily compiled.

I think it was a terrible add, it might cost you in sales. He has to live with what he did. I am sure if he does what he said he was going to do to change.

We all have some kind of addiction to some degree. Mine is sugar.
The ad was odd--but there is an underlying message in this provocative ad--look for it. I can't do all your thinking.

Its a known fact that Tigers Father cheated on his Mother, so I dont get the ad at all...It is however very creepy...

This is one of the problems in this world. Too many people get focused on other people problems , scandals , and lives. Does anything Tiger does affect your life ? Are you living a perfect life ? We need to be checking ourselves first. Are you treating your friends ans family the way they should be treated , are you getting rid of any addictions you have ? Are you living a 100% honest life? Porno addictions which many guys have gets in the way of many marriages these days. As I tell the children I work with , worry about what is going on in your world first. If you messed up, wouldn't you want a second chance ? So before you go worrying or slandering other peoples lives , check yours first!

Maybe you should look in the mirror yourself....and stop telling the rest of us how to live....GET A LIFE......

Did I say I was telling you how to live ??? Did I say I don't ever question how I live ? I know I'm not perfect , hence I asks for Gods to help guide my life, not TV , Politicians , ETC. Maybe God can help your life, and Tiger's Life, and all those , including myself who are living with sin, cause he holds the final judgement, not you or I. So all I was trying to say , in plain english, we should not judge others, we all fall short in some way or another. We need to stop looking to the world for role models, the only true role model is Jesus.

Is Tiger Woods actually JayZ?? There are lots of physical similarities. I still dont understad why the need to beg forgivness from the Public, I dont give a rats behind what the heck He did or will continue to do. I dont even like golf, I couldnt get the ball through the windmill.

Tiger must have the largest ego of all time. He's worried about his stupid golf game. He ought to consider what his wife is going through.
Why would he keep bombbarding her with this garbage. What would he do if the table was turned, think he would stick around?

Mike - I agree. I said to my sons (ages 23 and 25) WAAAYYYY before this scandal broke "I think that Tiger Woods might be the only person on the planet that could actually die from an over inflated ego..." - somehow, instead of actually concentrating on his family, he really has made this all about him.
