Conan O'Brien will make his highly anticipated return to television on TBS, TVGuide.com reports.
Yes, you read that right. It had long been speculated that the red-haired funnyman would land on FOX, but he has struck an agreement with the cable network for an 11 PM show that will run Monday through Thursday.
"In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly," O'Brien said.
He even joked about his new job on his Twitter account. "The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show."
O'Brien's new series will debut in November. Currently, TBS airs George Lopez's late-night talk show, 'Lopez Tonight,' at 11, but Lopez will move to midnight to make room for Coco.
"I can't think of anything better than doing my show with Conan as my lead-in," Lopez said. "It's the beginning of a new era in late-night comedy," Lopez said in a statement.
"Conan has been the comedic voice for a generation. TBS already has a huge audience of young comedy lovers, and Conan's show will give these fans even more reasons to watch our network," the president of Turner Entertainment Networks, which owns TBS, added.
O'Brien spent 16 years with NBC as host of 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien.' He then transitioned to host of 'The Tonight Show,' which lasted only seven months before he left NBC -- with a $40 million payout.
The comedian is in the middle of touring with his live show, called 'Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour.'

CONGRATS Conan on your new gig with TBS I didn't even know they were courting Conan I thought for sure Conan was going to Fox. This is a good deal for TBS & Conan.
Talk shows aren't all that appealing anymore but Conan's show is by far the funniest and he delivers musical guests I'll actual watch. Anyone else notice how bitter he's seemed the past 3 years? I hope he's happy again on TBS.
Hey old boring people! First of all, I'm impressed that you found this message board with your dial-up modem (which is still good enough). Get it in your head, Conan is funny. Now I know that you never saw his early work because you go to bed at 6:00PM, but the late show was a riot. The tonight show was over produced and held him back. Now, I know that you are into Snagglegap over on CBS, but that's because he's bitter and unfunny, just like most of you.
Now hurry up and get to Denny's before the early bird special ends. Oh, and don't forget to steal some more Sweet & Low on the way out.
Hey I'm 'old' and I love Conan. I'm going to see him with my daughter in June. Can't wait. I've always loved Conan and have followed him since the beginning. I don't have dial up anymore either, I hate Denny's and I have never used sweet and low. But I do get your point.
It is amazing that Conan has such a short memory. It was only a mere lapse-of-memory time ago that Conan condemned Jay Leno for doing the exact same thing. The big difference is that Jay has talent and was a proven success story; Conan never had talent and probably never will be in the same category as the talented Jay Leno. I will say that moving George Who to later in the night is of NO consequence to anyone.
I never liked him and I am sooo happy that Leno is back..... Conan's humor is so sophomoric.... why does he think they owed him that show after his audience tanked... alll shows are canceled when there are poor ratings... what made him so special to think that he could hold on to a bad show....
Well now I know not to get cable or satellite because there is nothing worth watching on there. I rather be on here watch Hulu or Netflix movies than the crap they have on TV. Nothing worth watching and nothing worth paying for on cable or satellite.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos

I'm sure that Obrien will be just as lame and UNFUNNY in his new show. He should have stayed gone.
