Conan is "opening" for Lopez about as much as Leno is "opening" for Fallon. In late night, the earlier show is always the more important one, while the later show is the secondary.

Lopez and Conan spoke to each other personally. Conan had turned them down because he didn't want to do to Lopez, what Jay did to him. But Lopez said that he was fine with it.
I agree. My sentiments exactly. Conan will be the more important show. I actually think it's very smart to line up one talk show after the other, just like what CBS and NBC are doing. TBS wants a piece of this pie and they will get it.
100% correct.
no one will watch Conan the guy is a big loser
Quite right, and I would think he didn't go on HBO because he wanted his fans to have better access to his show.
Why did Cone not go to ABC ?
This article perfectly portrays the cynicism that Conan talked about in his closing statement on The Tonight Show. It's sad how the author chose to take cheap shots at TBS and Lopez, and then have one line about how "Conan could reinvent and reinvigorate the network...". Wake up and smell the COCO!!
I think this move is brilliant, for both TBS and Conan. I wish them all the best!!

"Conan could reinvent and reinvigorate the network."
Monkey Grinder in the proverbial bone yard of TBS? Now that's funny. But I still won't watch it.
It will be disastrous because the Daily Show will kill Conan's show at 11:00.

Most people who watch Daily Show are internet & DVR users so that is not all that true.
Who the hell watches the Daily Show anyway? Real news is more interesting than fake news.
I think it's hypocritical of Conan to be bumping George Lopez to a
later time slot given the noise that was made after he was asked to
move his show later. I am sure that Lopez is just thrilled to be movingback an hour. I'll stick with the CC gang and Fallon.

Lopez contacted Conan and pitched the move TO him. Lopez is on board. Use the internet harder next time and do some research.
That's the story for the world, but we both know that George Lopez
didn't ask to follow Conan. Don't trust your internet research.
Why wouldn't we trust the internet as a source? yeah sometimes it's WRONG but do you have any reason other than cynicism to believe that Conan would bump Lopez?
You do realize that makes no sense right? How is it hypocritical? Did Conan O'Brien retire and then get moved to an earlier time slot, accept the position and then jump at the opportunity to take his old job back? If Fox offered him a 10'0 clock slot should he apologize to all the news affiliates nationwide for bumping the news?
Yeah, back in 2005 Jay Leno had to act like he was fine with retiring and letting Conan take his job in five years. We now know that he actually was dead against it and Conan was in effect stealing his job by pressuring NBC to let him take Jay's job. What's said publically and privately are two different things.
Conan originally turned this deal down because of what happened at NBC. He didn't want to be Leno. Lopez called him personally and told him he was fine with it, and why wouldn't he? this will surely draw more attention to his otherwise second rate show.
All this is going to do to Lopez is greatly increase his ratings.
